Noob question here, but how does multi-ing work exactly? do you set one toon to follow then have some extremely good dexterity to cast spells or is everything macro'd?

yes and no. basically, you have a main and a follow. the way i know to do it is to get a specific keyboard that plugs into two computers.
You set likewise spells up with the same Cd etc and like them to the same button and when the main fires the follower fires.
there is a youtube video about it somewhere.

Honestly it won't matter what spec.
Affliction is probably easier to manage, both would use exactly the same spells. Mobs are just going to die so damn fast anyway. Figure run and dot, run and dot. Once Siphon Life (or whatever its called at around 30) is available if you don't mind skipping out on loot you can literally dot everything you see and keep moving
^This^
With decent spell power gear on both locks, 2 CoAs and 2 Corrs on anything will kill it before it can do any significant damage. A single CoA and Corr usually can bring a mob down, especially with a pet helping. And once you get to deep Affliction talents, you could probably clear entire regions.
