You fail.
Your reason fail.
Nice trolling.
Cataclysm gonna be even bigger than WOTLK. Will sell even more and I'm pretty sure it will make so much poeple come back to wow.
I know I'm coming back. WotLK was the one that ruined it for me. I've played throughout vanilla and TBC, but I absolutely could not stand WotLK. I know a lot of people loved it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Cataclysm, on the other hand, looks very promising, and I'm very excited to see how it will change the game.

Global Warming is a predominate one.
Another is Bush.I was going to say "complacency."

God, even my way of thinking doesn't come off as bad as the ops.
Half those points arn't even an actual reason for the game being ruined, and other points, like 'thrall leaving the game' just shows a pure lack of knowledge of whats been said already.

They have said they will have a third expansion, but they don't want to put out a release date or beta release. What is wrong?
Video game designers fall into 3 groups of people, and I've seen these happen with games in the past.
One type will give release dates, and then realize that the content isn't ready. A great example of this is Valve, with the design of Half-Life. HL2E1 (Half-Life 2: Episode 1) was supposed to be the first of three episodic sequels, where instead of a $60, 20-hour game that gets released after a few years, you would have a $20, 6-hour game released after 6 months. HL2E1 came out June 1, 2006. So E2 should have been Dec 1, 2006 and E3 June 1, 2007. Episode 2 was actually released 16 1/2 months later, on Oct 17, 2007, because of a new technology they needed to polish. A 6 month release would have been Apr 17, 2008. Even another 16.5 month release would have been early Feb, 2009. Episode three has had barely any details released, and this is May 2010, 42.5 months later (over 7 times the initially desired interval). Obviously, fans were outraged by the delays.
The second type will release a game, and then have an uber buggy version on release day. Americas Army 3 was a perfect example of this. You think patch day lag in WoW is bad? AA3 on release day had so many problems, they had to disable training and let everyone progress as if they were 100%. That would be like WoW saying "okay, we had a problem with Cataclysm, so until we fix it you're all going to be able to play level 85s of any class with a template of T11 gear, and after we spend a month fixing it you'll be back on your level 1-80 characters." That made me quit the game that I was highly anticipating within a week, because it was that bad.
The third type is what Blizzard does - no release date until they know it will be released on that day. Yeah, there may be a big problem they have to fix, but this isn't often (considering how complex the game is) because they release dates so late. It annoys fans early on, but what benefit do you have by knowing the release date anyway?

Lol! This reply was awesome. You win! A bazillion other notes could be added, but the point definitely came across well.
The nostalgia of WoW will always keep me coming back and I know I'll never fuly lose interest with this franchise. However, WotLK ended up letting me down. I was very displeased with the mounted gameplay in zones like Occulus, and found seige tanks to be a laughable mechanic in PvP, but the capper for me was butchered PvP endgame content. The gear rewards looked like BoE greens from the Outlands. I could elaborate more, but the bottome line is that I found PvP to be uninspiring and unrewarding. Thankfully, I found raiding to be enjoyable enough to gear my lvl 80 toon a bit, but unfortunately I lost interest well before the ICC raids were opened and now I'm missing out on how Arthas's plot as the Lich King unfolds :-( WHICH THROUGH W3 IS THE WHOLE REASON I EVEN STARTED PLAYING WOW IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Has ICC and the fall of the Lich King been epic? Are there any links people can post showing me any cinematics I've missed out on? Maybe, I'll add this request to a new thread...
I look forward to Cataclysm, though, even if I'm less enthusiastic about the game in general. I'm currently leveling a soon-to-be Dwarf Shaman as Draenei to check out what leveling an Alliance character was like before Azeroth is reshaped. I might level each of the other Alliance races to 20 as well. Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isle are okay (not as enjoyable to me as the Blood Elf starting zones were), but I have to say that Exodar is a pretty obnoxious captial city to traverse through as a newbie. At least the music there is somewhat hypnotizing :-)

So they went George Lucas on our innocent childhood hearts and made the fall of Arthas as lame as Darth Vader screaming "Nooooo..." When he realizes that Pad'me is dead? Who is the new Lich King? Or is it still Arthas somehow?

This seems fine, actually, so I take back the Star Wars comparison that I made. It's just a shame that I'm too bored with the current gameplay to actually go through with all of the rigorous mumbo-jumbo in order to gear up to be accepted into an ICC raid :-/

No, it's still a Star War's worthy reference... that was a horrible scene in the third prequel, it's a horrible ending to the expansion.

Pyramid breaker......
You can say that again a million times and I won't get sick of hearing it. "There must always be a Lich King" was almost as much bs as ToGC.
I agree, bad ending all in all. the scourge should had been wiped out, not placed on hold to be used in X number of expantions later.....

I am thinking that Cata might be downfall of World of Warcraft.
-First off they are only having the level cap to 85
-Second they are destroying old Azeroth and building a new one
-Third they are trying out under water raid
-Fourth they are making a race for Alliance that is more a Horde race (People go to Alliance to be able to get the races that aren't ugly/undead or un-natural)
-Finally they are kicking Thrall out of the game!
The more they release about it the worst it feels like it will turn out. They have said they will have a third expansion, but they don't want to put out a release date or beta release. What is wrong?
answers to all of them i know its been said before.
1: They're making cap 85 because they plan level 100 to be real end game, and they're making leveling from 80-85, from what i've heard, like leveling to level 80 from level 60 5 times.
2: Who cares about Old Azeroth? Deathwing finally makes a comeback and to be honest, new Azeroth looks cooler.
3: No one said it was underwater... it'll be like a fish tank most likely.
4: Who cares, You're just jealous that Alliance gets a bad@$$ race and horde get green soccer balls, besides with lore involved, Goblins have always been with the horde, and Worgen were once humans so... technically the 4th one makes no sense.
5: Thrall will not be kicked out of game, he'll be helping helpless survivors of the Cataclysm
6: The Beta was just released a few days ago, meaning bout 4-6 months before realse so it'll come out around September to November.
So
srsly, sthu
