The is no haste cap for enhancement shamans,
This. The only "cap" is gear limitations. As for rings if you don't have the Ashen one the next best option, I think, is the Rotface25 hc one beating the BQ10 HC one.

Testing this out on a dummy, I saw a -significant- increase in DPS. Again, what says you, WoW head?
There is your problem.
Never ever
take the dummy seriously. I assume you also didn't test at least 20 times 1 hour each, right? Your dummy test is complete nonsense. Go take a statistics class and stop making math people cry.

Ignoring MegaVolt's ^&*!@#$ry, how does the crit cap work? Like, what percentile of crit is needed for percentile of hit for the crit cap? I've seen some people discussing it, but I've never seen an actual straight up equation planted in straight up view like what we have for hit and expertise capping, for example.
Except he's right.
Also, you're not looking hard enough.
Listen to him.

I just want to add that Rawr isn't too great for simming and often puts out inaccurate numbers for most classes. EnhSim is the way to go for us :)
As for the crit cap, once you get there hit rating becomes even more valuable than haste since each point of hit will be directly converted to crit. Hit rating counts for more than crit, enough to push it over haste in terms of priority.
But it's even better to lose hit (as long as you stay over the soft cap) and crit to gain double the haste.
Hit only becomes better than haste once you are already over the crit cap. That shouldn't even happen in the first place.
