What are your guild rules?
What would be good rules for a guild?

Those are some very open-ended questions.
What type of guild? A social guild? Raiding guild? PVP guild? Are the members of the guild RL friends or a bunch of people who joined cuz you were spamming in trade? Where do you want the guild to go? What type of people are in the guild? Are they mostly younger players? Older? Are they newbs or experienced players? All of these questions, and probably many others, will have to be considered before coming up with a list of "rules" for guild members to follow.
I'm in a very small, social guild with a group of mostly RL friends. We don't really have any "rules", just don't be annoying, don't steal from the GB for your friends or alts who are not guilded, and just have a good time. These rules aren't directly stated, either, but implied.

Does not matter. List anything and everything. All types of guilds.

Back in my old 10man raiding guild, we had one attendance rule:
1. If you sign up, be on time or have a valid reason.
We had slightly more loot rules, but everyone thought it was fair.
1. Main Set before Off Set.
2. 2 Loot Limit: After two loots, your roll still beats OS but does not beat MS under the limit.
3. 1 Token Limit: In addition to your two loots, you could win 1 Token per raid (more if you were the only one who needed it). MS before OS still applies.
4. Crystals went to the gBank.
These rules were posted at the beginning of every raid (Safety Precaution: no one can dispute the chat logs).
Dude, seriously...?
List anything and everything.
Open-ended statements like that result in responses like that. Welcome to the Internetz.

My guild is very laid back all we ask is no begging, don't take from the GB simply to sell for gold, donate when/what/if you can to the GB, help out when you can with lowbies, info, mats etc....but mainly just don't be a %^&*!@ to the guildies and you're good :P

The problem with what the OP is asking is that every guild has different rules.
However, it's not hard to find examples that are already out there instead of expecting people to come up with a list.

Okay, here are a few off the top of my head:
General Guild Rules
·Be respectful of your guildies.
·Don't beg for gold.
·When offering items in guild chat, only offer for free / large discount.
·When asking for items in guild chat, do not expect items to be free.
·Don't ask repeatedly for boosts through dungeons on your low-level toons.
·Try to put as much into the guild bank as you take out, otherwise the well will run dry.
·Try to return favors without being asked- e.g., if your low-level alt has been run through Deadmines, offer to return the favor.
·Don't spam Trade chat with stupid remarks, as it reflects badly on the guild.
·Don't be a jerk to non-guildies, as it reflects badly on the guild.
·No withdrawls from the guild bank until your probation has finished / until <insert time here> has passed.
Raiding Guild Rules
·Make sure you do not miss more than 1 day per week on raid days.
·Always log on & be ready at least 15 minutes prior to raid time.
·Always have required number of flasks / potions / ammo / etc.
·When DKP is spent, do not argue about cost of item rolled for.
·Do not roll on items that you will not use in order to pass to a friend.
·Do not roll on items that will benefit the guild bank.
·Do not use the guild bank to pay for repairs not incurred during guild raids.
·Make sure all gear is enchanted & gemmed appropriately prior to raid.
·Make sure you have Vent installed and working prior to raid.
PvP Guild Rules
·Always have gear enchanted & gemmed appropriately.
·Make sure you have Vent installed and working.
·When grouped for BGs with other guildies, decide who is group leader, and follow commands accordingly.
·Make sure you do not miss the minimum number of arena fights per week.
·You must keep arena rating above <insert rating here>.
·If it's red, it's dead.
·When healing, always make sure you heal teammates as needed.
·When not healing, always cover healer.

Be able to pay your own repair bills.
If you can't make it to a raid, let them know (entire forum board for this)
Try to make all 3 raid nights
No talking during boss fights
That's basically it.

I was going to report this as a necro, but it's just too damned funny. In my section of the world, the LMGTFY link pulls up this thread as the #3 result. XD(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##+1
