(( I appologize for the delay, I was having some problems with accessing Wowhead. With any luck the content of this page will make up for the delay. ))
Pterus, Brekk, and William watched the Scourge from the shadows. The undead carried bucket loads of a strange, bluish substance out from the bowels of the city to a point underneath the necropolis where they and their load were teleported to another locating - most likely within the halls of the Scourge structure itself.
"We have to do something," Pterus said. "I don't know what the Scourge is planning on doing, but I do know that it can't be anything good."
"Ya think?" Brekk replied with a sneer. "And meybey ye 'adn't heard us the earlier; we ain't goin' ta get involved wit' whatever they're doin' until we alert the commanders."
Pterus scowled and snorted, noticing more of his breath was visible then usual in the icy air. Suddenly, the temperature dropped drastically.
"Did ja t'ink dat we not be knowin' dat joo was watching us?" they quickly turned, seeing an icy lich floating a few meters away from them - it's bones allowing them to determine that it had once been a female troll. "I'm goin' ta freeze da blood in your veins, mon!"
The Holy Light surrounded Brekk and William, but Pterus was left without any way to protect himself cold. The two paladins charged the lich, but the tauren's gun had been frost over, rendering it useless. The lich floated back away from the two paladins as they attacked, and then more minions of the Scourge rushed to aid their leader.
"Joo be no match for da Scourge!" she cackled. "Joo be goin' ta die now!"
With a roar of rage, righteous fury built up within William and he released it. The Holy Light swirled around him, killing several Scourge minions that got in to close and weakening the female lich greatly.
"Dat be a nice treeck, mon," the lich said, floating backwards until she found herself trapped against a wall. "Dat be a very nice treeck." She looked past the two paladins and hunter and seemed to gain an aura of confidence. "Joo almost 'ad me, but joo all be as good as dead now."
The three peaked behind them, their eyes widening as they saw a figure there. It looked like a lich, but it seemed to be caught in a constant inferno, although the flames didn't seem to be burning away at the bones. The figure trusted a hand towards them, flames materializing out of the air and flying towards the three as he did so. On the other side of them the female lich cast her own freezing spell.
The paladins once again called upon the Light's blessing, and its holy radiance shielded it them from the flame and frost. They then each tightly gripped a small while stone with a blue swirl design engraved into it and began to focus. The stone began to glow green, and, after a few moments of the glow growing brighter, they vanished.
The tauren, however, was not so fortunate. He had no such protection from the magical attacks, and so suffered a very painful demise from both burning and freezing to death. Once the two liches ceased their attack, a small group of ghouls moved in and began to feast on the charred and chilled corpse.
"
I am disappointed that you could not deal with the living on your own, Kalypso
," Nalor said, his eyes flaring as he did.
"Forgeev me, masta'," Kalypso said, bowing her head. "I was not prepared ta deal wit' da paladin's as I tought I was. I 'ad forgotten da lessons dat joo 'ave been teachin' ta me."
Despite the lack of a throat that made such a sound possible, Nalor hummed. After some time, he shook his head. "
Nevermind it, there are other matters that must be attended to. With those paladins having escaped I believe that we may now be pressed for time
." He nodded. "
Yes, we must step up our plans if we are to succeed. Come, my apprentice, we have much to do
."
"Jes, masta," Kalypso replied, and floated off behind Nalor. Once both of them were directly underneath Zeramas they disappeared in a flash of light, teleporting back inside the necropolis.

Writer's Commentary:
I suppose I should point out that, if I go with the current plan in mind, character deaths will be far more frequent in this chapter then they have ever been before. Pterus' death is but the first of many to come (and it will in no way turn out to be a setback).
Also, this chapter is going to be far shorter then the others - only extending to page 30 at most - but pages may become longer because of this. I'll have to see what comes to mind - struggling with a massive writters block (again).
Next page introduces another character, as well as reveals what Nalor has been planning - to an extent.
