We also have our hunter MD the Nuclei whenever his MD is off cooldown.
Ah, good idea. I'll be sure to tell our hunter to do that.
No it's not. MD doesn't work.

What's the reason to make lock tank Keleseth? Lock won't have 50K hp, lock won't have cooldowns (1 if lock is with void), lock won't have any extra threat on boss... And on top of everything, pretty much any tank can do orbs. Maybe war can have some issues, but I have done it on my dk easily, and I have seen pally and druid doing it without any issues as well.
I'm not completely sure but I think it's because Warlocks have heavy resistances to shadow damage, and since Keleseth does only shadow damage and never melee attacks, it makes them ideal for the situation.

IIRC warlock tanks were popular in the beginning, when Keleseth was bugged to the point that normal tanks wouldn't stand a chance of staying alive (ie. getting in melee range pretty much meant that Keleseth would oneshot them).
The way I see it:
Warlock tank:
Pro: Good mitigation, plenty of ranged attacks to help him acquire nuclei, soul link.
Cons: Mitigation is a proc, you have to sacrifice a DPS, no OH SHI- cooldowns, have to sacrifice an offspec for the single encounter.
DK tank:
Pro: Much more hp, you don't lose a DPS, good OH SHI- cooldowns (AMS & AMZ/Vampiric Blood depending on spec).
Cons: Not as many ranged tools (but really, a single death coil should be enough to grab the nuclei).
Then again, I'm probably biased towards the latter, given that's what we use for our 10HC/25 runs.
