Simply put, the spec you posted is cool, for PvP and works well. It is not so great at generating maximum DPS, 51/18/2 is. If you are going to PvP, then focus on that, if you are going to PvE, then you need a PvE spec to do it well. If you want to do both, get to work on buying dual spec and you will be good to go. In PvE there is one goal and 2 sub goals, killing bosses as fast as possible is the goal, staying alive and putting maximum DPS on the target for the maximum amount of time possible is how you kill bosses in the least amount of time. Rogues don't do anything for raids than take up space and pour some sick levels of damage into a boss when played right. Good rogues get spots in raids and get invited back, asked to pug again and are desired as the cold blooded boss killers they are, sub-par rogues don't.
This is why DPS matters and why the spec posted is THE mutilate spec.

This is wrong. Please do not spread misinformation about our class. If this is true of you, fine....but this is not true of your class.

Uh, rogues don't have raid utility outside of savage combat, possibly hemo with some weird eviscerate/HaT spec, and tricks of the trade, so yeah....
Even then, you usually trick another rogue while he tricks on you...

Really? ZOMG!
I guess interrupting Frost Bolts on Valithria, Fell Fireballs on Jaraxxus, locking down the shaman on FC....all wasted time.
Glad to hear that a 4% raid buff to physical damage on the boss doesn't matter, ~5% increased damage to both of your top DPSers (usually) too. All in addition to being the top dps for our raids.
Gee, rogues really do suck...pfft.
Do we have a buff to cast on the raid requiring a reagent? No. Do we have a debuff we put on the boss requiring a reagent that benefits the raid? Yes. Can we control the encounter to benefit the raid? Yes. Can we tank the boss long enough to prevent a wipe while the MT is BRez'd? Sometimes.

I never said rogues suck jeez.
Also, we're not the only class with an interrupt.

Rogues do not have a utility raid buff. Interrupts are not unique and I am pretty sure that every class has them. Finding traps in ICC is also done with other classes as well so that is also not unique. Reducing the armor of the target is also not unique. Tricks of the Trade is only a single target buff and thus did not apply to the discussion at hand. Other classes have unique, raid or party wide buffs that they provide and thus a unique reason to bring them along. Heroism, haste, various defensive spells and so on come to mind.
I don't know what raid you are in that you think you can tank a boss beyond 2 hits without RNG being super kind to you, but really, rogue tanking is dead and gone and unlikely to come back no matter how much stamina they add to our gear.
As a player, I provide a plethora of raid utility and buffs but not one of them come from my class.
I would make pithy and personally insulting comments here regarding the nuggets of "wisdom" presented but I decided to leave with this instead.
Look at the big picture and not your own myopic point of view.
