I know if you are using
Powered by Wowhead
you can. I don't know how you'd go about linking a gemmed item within Wowhead or randomly gemming some random piece of loot (like Shadowmourne) to link in game.

/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("\124cffff8000\124Hitem:49623:3789:3518:3518:3518:0:0:0:0\124h\124h\124r");
Let's decompose it !
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("\124cffff8000\124Hitem:
49623
:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0\124h\124h\124r");
Shadowmourne
link
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("\124cffff8000\124Hitem:49623:
3789
:0:0:0:0:0:0:0\124h\124h\124r");
Berserk
enchant (ID is in the spell details, 3789)
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("\124cffff8000\124Hitem:49623:3789:
3518:3518:3518
:0:0:0:0\124h\124h\124r");
+20 Strength
gems
Have hun with your intellect heavy shadowmourne :D
Edit : Complete list of EnchantIDs
here
.
The "item code" is composed of different parts, item:itemId:enchantId:jewelId1:jewelId2:jewelId3:jewelId4:suffixId:uniqueId:linkLevel
See
Wowwiki
for more.

Ah ha! I knew there was a to do it (since you can link enchanted/gemmed items you see in game).
Still doesn't answer linking gemmed gear within Wowhead though...for example, is there a way to link
this Shadowmourne
within Wowhead?

You can't post direct html code on wowhead, so, no.
<a href="
http://www.wowhead.com/item=49623"
class="q5" rel="gems=3518:3518:3518&ench=3368"></a>
would link the same Shadowmourne as in your profile.

That's what I thought. It's a shame sites powered by Wowhead can link items Wowhead itself can't. :P

Not that wowhead can't, but we, powerless members of this dictatic forum aren't allowed to do so :]

You can, actually:
Shadowmourne
You got the gem IDs wrong too. it's 40111 for a
Bold Cardinal Ruby
, not 3518, which is a... uh..
Decrypted Letter
.

Exact, the links use the item ID to add gems, not enchant ID.
As for linking on wowhead, didn't knew you could like that :|.

Sweet, I thought there might be a way... it just took hijacking a thread and waiting for someone with the know-how to grace my presence. :)
A breakdown of the method.
Shadowmourne:
www.wowhead.com/?item=49623
Shadowmourne with
Fallen Crusader
:
www.wowhead.com/?item=49623&ench=3368
(3368 comes from the enchant's page: "Effect #1: Enchant Item Permanent:...")
Shadowmourne with
Fallen Crusader
and three
Bold Cardinal Rubies
:
www.wowhead.com/?item=49623&ench=3368&gems=40111:40111:40111
If you don't understand that, I'm sure someone can clarify it. :)

waiting for someone with the know-how
Actually, it was just a guess - as I figured the links would be build the same way as the URL-syntax. Makes pretty good sense really :)

Now, would it be possible to link these enchanted, and gemmed items in-game as well somehow?
Post by
Pwntiff
Mineka's post at the top of the thread covers in-game posting. The only tricky part is figuring out which enchantIDs to use for gems.
