These abilities should have had smart targeting from the begining.
These players should have had smart targeting from the beginning.

And if the game is too easy, you could always play without a weapon. That should prove to add a bit of challenge for ya.
Yes, and we can all drop our armor and head to BT. That's just a silly argument. The game is getting easier for every single patch. Pretty soon there is no challenge to doing anything.
Seems the biggest challenge nowadays are getting undergeared pug players to your heroics due to lowering the req's from revered to honored.

I'm a hunter and wouldn't want multi-shot to have "smart targeting". It would just spawn even more Huntards.

It's not a nerf to any class.
It's just a nerf to player intellect, ie it will be easier to be efficient without paying any attention to what happens around you. Players who are unable to pay attention will be more successfull in early instances/whatever, and won't learn to pay attention.
Which in turn will come to bite them in the ass once they'll progress to more difficult content (them and those they'll be grouped with).

A bad change i think, we should be made to think more, not less. Also why not include blade flurry and multishot?
Because those classes already require no thought?
