Yeah the dps requirements on 10 man are significantly lower than 25man so there's no need to 1 heal or even 2 heal this.

There's a video floating around that I've seen of a guild doing 10m heroic and one tanking and one healing something like 9/12 bosses.
Granted they were exceptionally well geared and it was a holy pally healing, so it's much harder to oom with them.

First of all, I doubt it would work (bubble rarely moves gimmicks like that, if they're pretty much the only feature of the fight), secondly, you'd get higher raid DPS doing it with two tanks, one of which was feral and went cat, popped berserk, and enjoyed that 90% damage increase and 50% energy cost.

Paladins can tank up to 18 debuffs because bubble DOES remove this "gimmick" along with other raid boss debuffs.
Although you are right about your second point, in my experience you only get a small amount of threat above the 2nd highest after a taunt and the old tank will be right around 90+ % aggro so a kitty going all out dps might just end up tanking again.
But let's not forget the OP was asking about solo healing, not solo tanking.

What about vile gas on the one and only healer?
If they have enough ranged, the healer can just stand in the melee.

As pala healer I always stay in melee. We always got 3-4 ranged players anyways.
As for the video it is possible to google.. anyways:

You can't single tank Festergut, tanks get a
stacking debuff
that kills the tank and most likely your melee if it stacks to ten.
Unless everyone is grossly overgeared, I don't see a resto shaman solo healing this, we just don't have that kind of longevity outside of CH spam. Maybe a holy paladin, but that would still be pushing it.
we amost got him down before tanks had to taunt, and he only had like 700k hp left, we were averaging a 264 gear throughout the group, so it is possible as long as the players are not idiots ... we had 2 tanks and 2 healers, so only 6 dps, if the ont tank had gone dps we would of had him without a problem .

Eh, solo-healing ICC bosses isn't as hard as everyone makes out.
Back at 15%, when I was 251 geared, I solo healed Marrowgar from 50% to 0 on my holy priest after the PuG paladin died. Granted, if the fight went another 10-15 seconds the tanks would have died as their health was slowly disintegrating.
Gimme the gear I have now, 30% buff, plus the overall buffs that 4.0 brought, I'd be able to do it from 100% to 0 (on normal mode) without too much hassle, and Marrowgar and Festergut are roughly equal in healing intensity. So as a holy priest, I would say it's do-able. Resto Shamans out-HPS us, but whether they have the toolbox to be able to pull it off is a different question.
Probably something along the lines of:
start of fight, keep ES on the tank and spam CH
after first inhale, keep Riptide up and ES, let your totem take care of the majority of the raid, CH whoever gets vile gas
after second inhale, mainly focus on the tank, only CH when you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO, lest you OOM
after 3rd inhale, spam the tank
after blight, NS+GHW the tank, back to CH spam. at this point your (paladin) tank will have to bubble, have your most geared plate DPS blow a tank CD+indestructible potion and taunt, then the tank can click off his bubble and taunt back. Non-tank-specced warriors have Shield Wall, DKs have Icebound Fortitude, pallies have Divine Protection
rinse and repeat (hopefully it's already dead by this point)
EDIT: sorry about the necro :/ didn't check the date...
