Armoury:

I often have a problem with fps in 25mans, even though I have all my settings down on low and nothing else running in the background. Sometimes, especially at the beginning of battle, it dips down to about 2 or 3 fps, then usually loiters at about 8-12 for the rest of the battle. I was wondering if thist had a significant impact on dps, since I can never seem to push past 4-5k dps. In OS25 I was sitting on a miserable 3k, and was promptly kicked.
I know my toon needs some enchants and gems, but I can't afford the enchants atm. Over the next week I'll grind dailies to get these, but surely even that wouldn't be solely responsible for such utter rubbish dps? I've seen Warlocks of similar gear to me do well over 8 and 9k dps, and I just wish I could get up there with them.
My Rotation (if it helps) is usually: Immo > Incin > Conflag > Chaos Bolt > Incin (until Immo runs out then refresh). The reason I put a Incin between Immo and Conflag is because I find there's always a short gap between striking Immo and when Conflag becomes available.
Thanks for any help or tips.
P.S. How significantly does latency affect dps? For example, a regular 300-500ms?

gem and enchant for sure when you can, the little numbers add up quickly
also I see you're tailoring, so go ahead and do the cape enchant its like what 1g?
and looks like you have a bit too much hit, could be used for other stats like haste

Hmm, yeah I saw that my hit was more than what I needed but I wasn't sure about the best way to change that. The best way would obviously be to get ICC pieces that have haste on them, but there's no way I can get into ICC yet. I've resigned to saving up Frost Emblems but it takes a long time. A month of daily heroics just to get my belt or even longer for the chest. (minus the weekly).
Unless I replace my Triumph Emblem gear with other Triumph Emblem gear?
Edit: Well the fps usually doesn't get below 10. The average for Toc25 is about 12-15, but unfortunately I'm not exaggerating about the latency. Is it really that bad? :|

wring meta
several healer items
missing some gems and enchants
WAY over hit capped
bad talent build
wrong rotation

Perhaps the talent build is wrong but I copied by ex-guildmate's and he quite capably does epic dps.
Well, thanks guys anyway. Can anyone tell me though which piece of gear I should replace and what I should replace it with? Just when I thought I was beginning to know my class, it turns out I haven't the faintest idea :(
Btw Asakawa, you're post was more detrimental than it was helpful. Please explain which items were healer items?

Weapon has mana per5, thats healing gear.
At least farm forge to get seeth.
Get 2t10 then 4t10 asap, nevermind the badge gear.
your meta is wrong
Replace both trinkets asap.
Demonic brutality? Fix your talents
People in your gear dont put out 9kdps, on non gimikee fights anyway.

:( I just spent 100 triumph on those trinkets. Where else am I supposed to get them from?
Cheers though Phill. I do run Voa every week, and I've been doing HoR for the offhand but I didn't know about Forge. I've also fixed talents and replaced the meta, enchanted cloak and weap. Ty, though I wish I'd asked these questions before I spent gold/badges on them lol.

Ok, it doesn't matter anyway. Well I got Seethe, replacing my healer dagger, but its given me more hit, putting me at 650 :| I should still choose this over the mp5 dagger right? I also lost crit.

The Cloak enchants actually take one of the "super" clothes so it could be up to 50 gold depending on how prices go on the server ^_^

Really quickly,
Aim to replace that hit trinket you have. Abyssal Rune from Reg ToC, is probably the easiest, Muradin's Spyglass from 10 Man ICC Gunship can be also extremely easy to get. Additionally, for warlocks, haste > crit.
Lastly, asakawa has cultivated the single most helpful warlock thread on the internet, 99% of your foundational questions can be found in

(from his sig). Have fun, and remember, the Find Command is your friend when reading stickies :p

Sucks to be you .. :-)) j/k
They would have been better spent on T9 gear.
Well I got Seethe, replacing my healer dagger, but its given me more hit, putting me at 650
Farm reg tochamps till you get abyssal, should take an hour, then you can drop the shard. That'll put you still at 70ish over hit cap but bare in mind you'll soon replace at least robes and/or head.
Its ok to not be totally optimal (over the hit cap in this case) all the time. You have to make the best of what falls on your lap and research a bit to find easy fixes (like abyssal rune for example).

Sweet thanks guys for the helpful comments.
On an aside, you're an enchanter/tailor and you don't have gold? wtf are you doing? spend the 15 min on the ah and make some it's really not that hard. I made 20k in 2 weeks by spending about 5 min each day on the ah...there's really no reason not to have gold in this game. Then buy/make the crafted boots and bracers.
Are you referring to buying items, D/Eing them and selling the mats? I think I've tried that once but I never came out better off. Unless there's another way. I know I'm a bad, but I've never really been shown/told/figured out how to make gold with my professions before. Thanks.
