And while people are 100% free to spend their own or their mom's money on a mount I think it speaks volumes about their priorities in life.
A. I can make 25 bucks in like 2 hours. And how does it speak of my priorities? What if my bills are already paid, there is nothing else I want. So I buy the horse. Does that mean I have no priorities?
B. Stop trying to use the adult living in mom's basement scenario or only little kids want it. It just shows how stupid you are.

How free am I to spend my own money on a mount then? 86%? 93%? 7%? 110%?

I personally love this mount. $25 really isn't that much, and when I first saw the model I was very disappointed because I was expecting it to be another raiding relating mount, and I don't raid. So I'm glad that it was made available for anyone with some extra cash to get. I don't care that it's going to be the new Bronze Drake as someone put it, because I love the looks regardless.
My priorities are set, I just decided to treat myself as I havn't bought something purely for ME in a while. :)

Just thought I'd jump in and remind people what they are arguing about.
That is, purchasing a virtual glittery pegasus...for $25. That's more expensive than a lot of PC game expansion packs. In fact, the WotLK xpac goes for $30 right now, just to put it in perspective. You could have bought 2 months of game time for that much as well. The whole "priorities" argument doesn't make sense unless you prioritize collecting "rare" mounts more than actually playing the game.
I don't care if you think its worth it or not, selling a virtual horse that adds no gameplay for $25 is a disgusting move on Blizzards part.

And that's still just your opinion.

I could care less if the mount I bought is worth more than other xpacs or almost what Wrath is worth now, or even if I could buy another 2mths of gameplay almost. Why? Because theres alot more than $25 in my bank account, I could buy all the stuff you mentioned along with a couple mounts and not care or be concerned about my financial situation because theres nothing worry about, I make good money and Im able to spend it on things like this because I can.
I didnt wanna say it before, but it really seems like the people who are complaining like this are the ones who simply cant afford it, the people who can but cant arent acting like this and most are saying they will eventually. So those seriously crying about it, get a life. I'm sure you guys have wasted money before on stupid things so dont try to bring down people for doing it now.

The way this mount has taken off I can see Blizz going down the same lines for other items and such. Wont be long before you see "Buy this key for only $25 and gain access to this new instance ! " A zone only accessable by paying cash. It will happen.

It's called disposable income...
People that make money has this thing called "extra" money. You spend it on whatever you want.
I can see how this concept is hard to understand for people that are too young to make money or people that don't have a job or source of income.

You know fine well what I mean. Something which isnt an expansion pack.
Cataclysm come out and we all buy it fair enough, but hey look at that for an extra $25 there an instance you can get into with nice shiney items inside !

Oh so you mean something where Blizzard creates new instances and zone and restricts those instances and zones to people that don't pay ~$25, but
not
an expansion pack.
Hmm..gotcha.

That wouldn't happen, as the elites(those little 14 year olds without access to momma's credit card), would quit the game.

It's funny how much economic snobbery comes out when you start attacking people's monetary decisions.
If someone with $25 has the ability to snub you...then I would advise you (a) wait until you're over 12 years old or (b) get a job that pays more than 78 cents an hour.

Bolded to help those with poor reading comprehension i.e. Arikan, Funden etc. You're welcome.

No different then just having to buy those 100 dollar jeans so you can 'be cool'.... even though they won't be any good in a few months as the next moronic trend comes out.
