DPS warriors are mainly focused on Strength (=AP), Armor Pen, and Crit. Hit and Expertise to cap, of course, and haste is way down the priority.
Agility equals Crit for us, so when you come across a piece with Agility, Armor Pen, Crit, and Attack Power, you are doubling up on one of the better stats and it can be worth the small sacrifice of Attack Power.
Now, if you have a piece of gear that is Strength/Stamina, Armor Penetration and Crit, that will of course be superior to an Agility/Arp/Crit/AP item.
However, take a look at item 264 bracers:
264 Bracers. 2 are PvP, 2 are tanking, 2 are caster, and 2 are DPS.
Heroic 10m Dreamwalker and
25m Gunship. As you see, one is Strength/Crit/Haste and the other is Strength/Crit/Hit. Now the Polar Bear Claw Bracers might be an okay choice if you need the hit and can get better pieces elsewhere.
However, look at Leather Bracers. You have
Saurfang 25m and
Heroic 10m Sindragosa. Those Saurfang bracers are perfect for us. You get Crit from the Agility and you have Crit, ArP, and AP. Yes you get less Attack Power than either of the Strength bracers (around 170 less) but you are giving up the junky Haste (or Hit) for a double dose of Crit and also Armor Pen.
Even if you look at the mail bracers,
Scourge Hunter's Vambraces are nearly as good as the leather Saurfang bracers. Slightly more crit, slightly less ArP and Stamina. Scourge Hunter's Vambraces are still arguably better than either of the Strength DPS bracers.
Assuming you are getting your Hit rating elsewhere, I would say the Leather bracers from Saurfang 25 man are going to be just about Best in Slot for warriors currently.

If your specced as fury, then strength takes on even a greater significance. 5/5 improved berserker stance increases strength by 20%. meaning that 1 strength doesn't = 2attackpower..it equals 2.4 using the same strength numbers. See for yourself..strip yourself down to no gear...then add a weapon with strength on it..like the tyrannical beheader. So 1000 strength becomes 1200 strength which equates into 400 additional attack power. That's why sometimes you can't compare attack power to strength straight up as stats if your fury.
So when gemming for instance.

Delicate Cardinal RubyThe strength gem will give you 48 attack power.
