In case you had not heard, Iran has issued a very serious threat towards the United States.
"If America presents Iran with a serious threat and undertakes any measure against Iran, none of the American soldiers who are currently in the region would go back to America alive."
Source
What do you think about this?

Who here actually believes Iran when they say they're enriching Uranium for "peaceful" purposes?

The same ones who believe America and Russia are?

^ Agreed. No one has nukes for peaceful purposes, because they are not designed for peaceful purposes.

Of course, I could take it one step farther heh; America called for the dismantling of all nuclear weapons across the world.... then kept a large stockpile of their own 'just in case'; I think it's fine that other powers start stocking up, bring back the Cold War and keep the Nuke freaks on the back burners.

"If America presents Iran with a serious threat and undertakes any measure against Iran, none of the American soldiers who are currently in the region would go back to America alive," Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, was quoted as saying by the semi-official Fars news agency.
Eh...the word's "
semi-official
" kind of jumped out at me
Nice source

So pretty much if American soldiers invade Iran, they will shoot bullets at all of them?
How unreasonable, fighting an invasion!

*I'm not racist or anything like that, I just disagree with America's need to interfere in everything in every country. To me, it seems very paternalistic and patronising.

In America's defense, when many poorer countries are in trouble they usually come to us in one way or another (though most would rather just have a cash handout than a military occupation).
Wrong.
Somolia is in dire need and is a horrible place, along with many African countires. Do they need us--Yes! Do we need them--No. Is there any political or economical gain to help those countires--No. So we leave them to rot in their own misery and suffering.

It's the old "Mutually Assured Destruction" problem.
I'd love it if everyone could just get rid of their nukes. Problem is, I don't really trust a lot of the other countries (China, Pakistan, North Korea, etc.)

How unreasonable, fighting an invasion! That's not what they said. They said that if the United States threatens them, no American soldiers will come back from the Middle East alive. That's Iraq, that's Afghanistan, that's Kuwait... Anywhere in the region that we have soldiers, they have threatened to kill them. Don't think that the Iranians would hesitate to kill Iraqi civilians in the process. They hate the Iraqis.
Eh...the word's "semi-official" kind of jumped out at me
Nice sourceIt's Reuters. Blame them, not me.

'just in case'.

Well then what do you propose we do if we completely disarm ourselves and China nukes us?China wouldn't be threatening to nuke anyone if the American's were playing cowboy across the planet; people still remember what they did to two non-combat targets during the Second World War, that little act of 'fear' backfired immensely on them.
