Sexuality in WoW

Oh mah god, too funny. Too funny. But yeah, enough with the Velen/Dumbledore jokes.
Sexuality, unless it has to do with a romance plotline, has never been a big part in WoW and I think it would be akward to make it suddenly appear mainstream. When Blizzard said what they did, I think they may have been reffering less to lore characters and more to one-off NPC's and what not.

Damn, I was hoping this thread would never devolve into gay priest jokes. >_>
And imagine my surprise when I check Wowhead and this was necro'd :D
I guess I'll throw my characters sexualities in here just for discussion purposes. Maybe because I'm bisexual myself, but I find it very easy to RP characters of really any sexuality.
Praey
is interested in anyone. She's not polysexual because with her it is all about looks and not about personality. She's just flirty, horny and looking for a good time. Ignoring how she acted in A20 - which I did not like at all - she's always been that way. When she has Zane she settles down a bit and isn't as promiscuous, but that doesn't change that fact that she just wants to have fun. I mean, how many of your guys characters has Praey slept with? Garos, Wrex, Tae'sash, Base... I think there's a few more, plus all the characters I own that she has slept with like Nuhm, Ganjaru, Beek, Taari, Kylar, Alynn... she just wants to have fun.
Zane
is Praey's son, who was sexually and emotionally abused by his step father for several years when he was younger. Because of this, he has zero sexual or romantic interest in anyone. Perhaps if I ever RP with him (difficult to do since he's in Aftermath times) I might have him open up to a romantic level but never physical. He's too scarred by his past to let anyone get close to him that way.
A character that I have who is gay is
Ja'ak
, a son of Av'ka & Tova. He's gay, but he hasn't come out to anyone other than his family I don't think. He's quiet and shy, and I guess you could say he is afraid to come out, especially given the harassment he and his family have already endured by being half troll.
I have quite a few more but I'm kinda too lazy to type right now. Several of my characters, such as Tza'tali, admire the female body but are not crazy and adventurous and never had the opportunity to be in such a relationship.

It does help as you understand the patterns more than anyone trying to RP a sexuality they are unfamiliar with on a personal level.

It doesn't have to focus on the relationship, or be the main point of a character; but it would be nice to see more then just hetero and asexual characters; but Blizzard said they are thinking about it, and if it works in the storyline, it will stick around.

Gumballs said: I kinda feel the same way about taurens.. but Adams has a good point. They are all about babymaking right now. I think draenei would be pretty okay with things as well, since they seem to be a rather chill race xD
If I were a tauren and were forced to, I would with anyone or anything no matter how long or painful. I mean, it's for the tauren race right?
Other than that, I would only mate for the pleasure. Though I like men, and think shirtless tauren are sexy, I do not really want an accadental pregnancy and so would only sleep with someone it were um...an animal...

Why does everything has to be forced into a homosexual context these days?
And why do (some) homosexuals and their "advocates" portray everyone who's not in favour of having homosexuality forced upon them as "homophobic" bigots?
I'll sum it up honestly.
People are stupid and petty.
And dark, and disturbing, and demented...

Well, that's a given.

Why does everything has to be forced into a homosexual context these days?Doesn't have to; but does add another layer of realism into the Azerothian universe is all.

Because that's part of human nature.

Isn't that how racism was (and still is) but with different terms?
Humans tend to think in circles. O.o

How are we forcing homosexual content on anyone? I made this as an RP related discussion thread about how various races would treat people of different sexualities because several people RP characters who are not straight.
There are idiots on both ends of the spectrum, but this thread is still for mainly talking about how they would be treated in different WoW cultures. I don't want it to derail into a gay vs. straight flamewar so I am just taking precautions against that.
Edit: Holy crap you people respond SO FAST I can't keep up with my iPhone posting.

Calm down Gum, I think it was just a general statement, not directed towards you.
It's okay/ Even if it was meant for you, he'll be stabbed by the time you respond next, lol.

I am calm, I just dont want this to devolve into a flame thread like I said. I'm just cautious ^_^
Edit: once again with the super fast responses! I want to RP I really do but aah! Aftermath seems to be slow and that's where I want to do the majority of my RPing. I might write some fanfics though, and maybe I'll post them here. :]

Gum come back and RP with us! >.<
Yeah but really, as I said earlier(IMO of course) it doesn't matter so long as it's not a focus. It just helps if its not neglected.
The trick is to introduce it so that it looks natural and not just thrown in to appease naysayers. Done wrong it could come off badly.
