I don't debate with you, Hyperspacerebel. Sorry, but past experiences with you lead me to avoid it, whenever possible. I hope you understand.
Then don't bother replying.
You think Christianity is a personal religion. I think it's a communal religion. I think the who "personal" interpretation that most Christian sects promote is abhorrently anti-Christian.
"There are thousands of paths up the mountain, and the only man who does not reach the top is he who takes the path circling the mountain, telling all the other men that his or her path is wrong." - Hindu Proverb.
“Help thy brother's boat across, and Lo! Thine own has reached the shore” -Hindu Proverb
I don't know what you're trying to accomplish by quoting random things. I can do it too.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." What makes you so sure it is your Religion that's correct?

I'd rather either of you don't quote Hindu proverbs.

And you're not being rude by announcing to the board that you don't deem my arguments worthy of reply?
Come on. Really?
I said that my past experiences lead me to decide to avoid debating with you. This is much more polite than some other ways of saying the same thing.

Why not? That's one of my favorite quotes, whether or not I knew where it can from.

Faith aided by reason.

How you say it is meaningless to me. It's what you said. If you're not going to respond to someone's argument, then don't respond. Don't stick your nose in the air and talk about not debating with me, implying that your refusal is somehow my fault.

Reason I find to be made reasonable only by faith.

Faith can't make something reasonable. I don't think you even understand the words you are using.

That's an opinion, don't state it as a fact.
I have concluded that if you didn't have faith in your Religion, you would probably not come to the conclusion that with the evidence provided it is correct in everything it does.

I knew there'd be a good reason why this thread exploded in the last 12 hours. Hyper - where've you been?
Another inconsistency about Easter though. If Jesus was sacrificed to atone for our sins, why must we be baptised to appease the original sin of eating the apple from the tree in the Garden of Eden?
Whaaa?
Baptism is merely a way of showing other people that you have accepted Christ.
Firstly,
no
. It's been bastardised into showing other people that you have accepted Christ. Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist. I don't think that was done as a way of showing other people that He accepted Himself. If it's about showing other people your faith, it's about your faith in God (and by extension, the Holy Trinity), not in Christ specifically. It's precisely that focus on Christ specifically that I dislike about modern Christians.
Secondly:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptism
Later, the Catholic Church identified a baptism of desire, by which those preparing for baptism who die before actually receiving the sacrament are considered saved.
...
Catholics believe that baptism is necessary for the cleansing of the taint of original sin, and for that reason infant baptism is a common practice.
What denomination of Christian are you - Anglican? One which doesn't believe the sacraments are required, at least, I presume.
Second, I feel that I should somewhat say something here. I'm a christian and I will not tell my future children Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or any other fictional characters really do exist. Mostly because I feel that if I tell them someone they can't see exists, only to tell them that he really doesn't... might interfere with their relationship with Christ.
A kid was in Sunday School and learned about Satan. The Sunday School teacher made him sound terribly evil and frightening and afterwards, he ran off to his older brother, afraid of what Satan might do.
His older brother, with his extra two years of wisdom, comforted him and said, "Don't worry, it's just like Santa and the Tooth Fairy, this Satan guy is probably Dad as well!"

What? I'm telling you, you don't know the terms you are using. That is not an opinion. Fact: faith is not a standard of reasonableness.

I have concluded that you can write a clear sentence.

Actually, I've always wondered where the Devil came in anywhere. Truth be told, I'm not anywhere near done with my Torah studies, but besides for Ha-Satan, there's no devil anywhere. He seems to be the retcon of ages.

He plays a larger role in the New Testament. Check out Revelations.

Myself, my brother, and a friend. We tagged along with a youth group on the way there, but parted ways as soon as possible :P International travel and high school girls don't mix.

How's things in the Vatican with all the child abuse scandals flying around? I heard something about an apology of sorts, but not much else.

I'm afraid I do not understand what you're trying to say. Your trustworthiness in the teachings of Christianity is your religion, that is called Christianity. Thus, you have faith in Christianity.

Right, you might know where it comes form, but you were using it as an attempt to say 'Look at me, I am smarter then you', which is insulting it's use.

I disagree, I was trying to show him why I think his ideas are flawed.
I fully accept that Hyper is smarter then me, but I don't agree that makes everything he says right.
