As far as I can see this health care bill is only going to cost me money. I will still have to pay for insurance from my work and
then
pay the government?
That make not a bit of sense.
Don't know about the rest of you, but I am looking up at the poverty line and wondering how to get there, 'cause that would be a truck load more cash. Yes, I have a job. I work 40 hours a week. I am a single parent. The amount that they are "suggesting" (i.e forcing) me to pay is ludicrous. And if you actually read the bill, you have no choice. The government will remove the money from your check.
Correct me if I am wrong......But have they said we, the tax paying Americans, get to vote on this thing before it becomes a law? I think not. We won't get a vote, the bill would never pass. Ask around, see just how many people want this bill.
If we don't get to vote on it.....It is taxation without representation....and we all know what happened the last time that started, right?

Last time that someone cried that and tried to do something about it, George Washington came with his army and sent the rebels packing. And that was in the era where a militia was an actual force, today you try and take up arms against the government, you're going to get your ass handed to you to the extreme.
You are represented. If you don't like the policy of your Congressmen, vote them out.

We paid? (Sales tax, income tax, property tax... I could go on.)
And those are, save for income tax(don't get me started there lol) all paid at time of purchase....with the exception of property tax. And there is no amendment to the Constitution that says we have to pay the government any other taxes but sales and property.
But this is not my point.
When there is an increase to those taxes, we are allowed to vote on it. We will not be allowed to vote on the health care bill. I want to know why.
Why won't the law makers let us vote on it?

You are mistaken.
And why is one person's interpretation more mistaken than another's?

Also, on the topic isn't the healthcare, along with a lot of things the government has been doing these year, a violation of
our tenth amendment rights?
I had to argue the bill in debate and i got some great sources, but now i can't find them. But I had thought that my thinking on the tenth amendment would have been a good argument.
America threw out the Constitution quite a while ago. It been due to come bite us in the ass for a while.
