The magus stood outside the city. It's high purple towers stood tall, glaring down at him. He wore a simple blue robe, a plain staff engraved with Elvish runes at his side. A shuffling sound beside him. Turning, he saw a short Elf, intimidating even in a welcoming purple robe.
'Welcome.' The Elf said, ushering him inside.

Welcome to A Visit to Dalaran, a Revived Roleplay of A evening in Dalaran!
Basically, you can be any role or character (Lore
permitting
, etc!), during city life. The only rules are the basic RP ones and one of my own.
Use a realistic race/class combo. I.e A Tauren Warlock would
not
be permitted. You may use class/race combos from Cataclysm if you so wish.
Disclaimer;
I probably did not do the above introduction correctly, but I have not tried to do this kind of RP before, so bear with me.

Razrula Glitterflame
Age: 3523 Draenic Years
Race: Draenei
Backstory:
Razrula was a simple Draenei, blissfully young when the legion found the Exiles on Draenor. In the years following, he trained as a mage, under the command of Lauum. By the time the Exodar crashed, he was wise in the Arcane magics. Sadly, Lauum was stranded in a pod on Bloodmyst isle, and besides Razrula's training, he was unable to save his friend. He built the pyre and set it alight. Ever since, he has wandered, a Fire mage old and wise, yet in a word, bored. He stumbled across the Magocratic city of Dalaran, and realised this was were he would be most welcome. Here, he tells his story on how he entered Dalaran...
Razrula Glimmerflame
Dalaran
Razrula stepped into the dark shadows of the Sewers. The goblins swarmed to him.
"Here! I give you good price for good fruit!"
"Time is money! Buy now, ten percent discount!" He ignored them. Pitiful things. He kept a hand on his gold pouch and his staff.
"Bloody things." He muttered, hurrying to his destination, the Shady Dealers.

Razrula Glimmerflame
Dalaran Underbelly
He looked around, searching for his target.
"Psst. Over here." A voice called. Spinning around, Razrula noticed a Elf, tall and lean, in glistening red armour. He bore no weapons, yet his hands were closed in fists, and no doubt wary of a battle. "I have what you want, old friend." The Elf opened a pouch at his side, revealing a large gem, red and a crack down the side. He pulled it out and held it to Razrula.
"Thank you,
Pathal
. This will be most useful to me." He smiled at the Elf, who was already vanishing down the dark corridor. "Night to you as well." he muttered, before rubbing the rune on the Hearthstone, vanishing to the upper level of Dalaran.

Yoardain Ravenwind
Age: 10,67
Class: Demon Hunter
Location: Dalaran
Yoardain was alive to see life before the war of the ancients. He was a Highborne of the Kal'Dorei, and a powerful and respected arcanist. After the war, he gave up being a mage, seeing the damage it wrought upon the world. He turned to Malfurion Stormrage's druidism. He explored the land to better understand the powers of nature and the wild, settling into a peaceful satisfaction with the world around him, as well as within him. However, one day, thousands of years later, he traveled to Northrend. He saw a lone girl, he soon found was Aegwynnn the guardian of Tirisfal, battle a horde of demons, including Sargeras's avatar. He knew that the demons had found their world and would not stall their invasion, and that they needed every weapon available to them to combat the threat. He took up the teachings of Illidan Stormrage, burning his eyes out and accepting demonic energies and tattoos onto and into his body. He has battled demons religiously since. However, they had been relatively dormant in the past few years, the main threat becoming the Scourge and Malygos. Malygos saw things Malfurion's way, and Yoardain knew that even if he was right, murder was not the way to accomplish these goals. With Dalaran he flew back to Northrend to combat the Mage hunters. After the end of the Nexus war, he settled into a more dormant life. He tutored many young mages in the arts of the arcane, and soon became a respected figure within Dalaran, adding his own knowledge to the vast pool collected there, for the betterment of the world.

Morec, House of Rivendare
Dalaran
Morec is a distance relative of Stratholme's former Baron Rivendare. He is a death knight of the Forsaken - holding no loyalty to the Ebon Blade he was once a part of. Even so, he takes whatever rewards he can get from his old affiliation. His real name is unknown, having taken his current persona from a certain Scourgelord he was 'fortunate' enough to meet once.
Morec down the mug of ale in a single gulp before hailing for another. He took a rag and wiped off the drink that spilled through the open wounds in his chest.
I taste nothing, I feel nothing, why do I drink
? He shrugged and down another one.

Character
Pathal Shadowbane
Age : 138 Elvish years
Race : High Elf
Class : Paladin
Backstory:
Pathal Shadowbane, a true force of the Alliance. He has studied under me enough. I do recommend you send him to the Dwarvish city of Ironforge, the Paladins there have offered to complete his training. His strength is in Holy healing. His former experiences as a Rogue offer great potential as a Spy. He has a certain ability to keep animals calm, yet his skills with a bow are poor. All in all, he is a good field agent, and I can imagine him as a Marshal.
-Fahala Mossburn in a letter to Grand Marshal Jacob Masters, concerning Pathal's progress.
Pathal was a unlikely virtue for the Alliance, and the Elves. He was born of a lower class family, the Hasteworthies, but found an abandoned sword, rusted but effective for an ambitious young elf. He trained for hours, day after day, until his father brought him before the Marshals of Stormwind, who gave him proper training under Fahala Mossburn, a powerful paladin. After many years, he moved onto Grand Marshal Jacob Masters, where he passed his final test, becoming a qualified Paladin. He has since moved to Northend, meeting Rukrula Glimmerflame, who he befriended. They have since been in the thick of it, causing trouble and having a bit of fun.
Pathal
Dalaran
Pathal hurried up the corridor. His pouch empty in his hand. He, too, was annoyed by troublesome Goblins, but was at the Landing soon enough.

Alnerigo Sunstalker
Dalaran
Alnerigo is a Ranger, one who is skilled in melee and ranged combat. For years he served as a Warden for the High Elves. Until the Scourge came that is. He and his unit were forced back onto Sunstrider Isle as the Scourge pressed to Silvermoon. He was forced to take his unit to the very north end of the island. His unit joined the Blood Elves in rebuilding the island, and all eventually moved to Outland. There, they fought against the Burning Legion and their traitor brethren, the Sunfury and Firewing.
Alnerigo was one of the first to the shores of Northrend and joined the city of Dalaran. Since then, he has acted as a champion and soldier for the magocracy of the Kirin Tor.

Dalaran Streets
Pathal glanced around, noticing a patrolling guard, a High Elf. He was tall, wearing the heavy Hold Guardian armour with a shortsword and heavily laiden pouch by his side. Passing him, he quickly reached for the pouch.

"Koril, look out!" he cried. The guard next to him, a melee fighter, turned to see the pick pocket. "Shoo!" he yelled.
((Edit: heh forgot Alnerigo's description =P. He has spiked black hair, a small soulpatch, and wears red and black chain armor. He uses a longsword and a heavy longbow.))

Pathal & Ruzrula
Dalaran
Pathal broke into a sprint, a small piece of fine cloth in his hand. He managed to tear it off, but he hadn't been able to get any gold off him. He noticed Ruzrula beside him.
"Pickpockets, what you going to do?" He grinned at his friend, who, besides himself, also smirked.
"Come, my home is a little this way." He motioned at a little cul de sac, four houses. It was nice, with flowerbeds outside and cobbled pavement.

The pair walked into the house, carefully locking the door behind them.
"The Gem, what does it do?" Pathal asked.
"Well i-" He was cut short from a banging on the door.

Yoardain Ravenwind
Age: 10,67
Class: Demon Hunter
Location: Dalaran
Yoardain paced up and down the lecture hall, purple garbed young mages listening intently, hanging onto his every word. "Arcane magics..." He spoke, then paused. "Were brought to Azeroth by the Pantheon, or the Watches, or the Travelers. Whichever you prefer. It was manifested in the form of a great volume of water, contained within a well. This is known as the Well of Eternity. The predecessors of Elves, many historians theorize this to be a species of forest trolls, came upon this well. They harnessed it's power, and they were transformed into the Kaldoeri, or the Night Elves."

Yoardain walked out of the lecture hall a bit frustrated. He hated having to restrain his lesson... There was so much more theology to the Arcane arts then they realized.
