nice stories everyone i have one more of mine to add.
well this one is pretty funny.
I was training up my alt the same one from before and I joined a group with this guy. he told me that a friend of his told him. that when you get attacked you get xp so he would run up to something attack it and then die. all the while he told me that he would just sit here for an hour or so till he hit lvl 10. I finnaly got through to him that you get the xp from killing the creatures close to your lvl and from doing quests. he felt like an idiot heI could tell. but its these moments that make us feel better at how smart we are.

Durnholde. (not my first but the one I remember the most)
Me: Hunter (68 at the time)
Warrior: A friend on mine
Mage: He made water
Rogue: He killed stuff
Pallidan: (Holy) Kept warrior alive.
So things are going smoothly, I'm excited about the run. We down the second boss,
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27430
drop (they were an upgrade for me). Here is a sample of guild chat (or how I remember it.)
Me: Cool
*rolls need*
Pallidan: SWEET
Warrior: Gratz, man
Me: Wait...what? What do you mean sweet?
*Pallidan rolls need*
Me: Oh, no...
You need roll 27
Pallidan need rolls 68
Pallidan recieves loot
Me: ...
Warrior:...
Me: WHAT THE %^&* WAS THAT?
Me: YOUR HOLY!
Pallidan: Its better than for my dps set.
Me: -.-
Warrior: That's hunter loot man...
*everyone mounts up and moves to the next part of the instance while I stand there*
Warrior: You coming?
Me: I...I think I'm going to sit here in shock for a few seconds :/
Warrior: Ah, alright.
*I catch up and the run is completed as normal*
Pallidan acting as if he did nothing wrong: Thanks for the run guys. :)
*Pallidan leaves the group*
Me: *sigh*
Warrior: Yea, that was lame.
*Ignores Pallidan*
*Tells all of guild to ignore Pallidan*
*Tells most of trade channel to ignore Pallidan*
*Is still angry*

Hows this, I had a MAGE take my Eye of Sulfuras, saying he thought he could make a legendary staff with it. This happened years ago :P

Ok i am a genuine noob, but i know enough to not roll for items i can't use, and to use my abilities to help others as much as possible. All I want to know is what are the acronyms you use = rfc, rfk, pug, ag. What do they mean? Please don't flame me- just explain. I'll be with you soon enough :)
RFC = Ragefire Chasm
RFK = Razorfen Kraul
PUG = Pick up Group (people you don't know)
Not sure what AG is, unless you meant AQ
AQ = Ahn'Qiraj
There are a lot more, but too many to list ... well I'm too lazy to do it unless asked.

I started a druid and I saw another player out in the field grinding or questing. I decided to be cool and buff him up with "Mark of the Wild" and "Thorns". He whispered to me and said "Please stop! I'm trying to level". Still til this day I'm like "WTF?" lol

He thought your buffs were attacks...Priceless.
The first time a random passing priest buffed my stamina, I thought it was a piece of gear I had just put on...I was like, "Wow, that +3 Stamina really does a lot!!"

I was standing around in Stormwind one day when a gnome mage came up to me and asked me where he could go to learn 2H swords. I told him where the weapons trainer was, and he said he'd already been there, but they wouldn't teach him 2H swords. I'd never played a mage, so I wasn't sure, but I asked him if mages could even learn 2H swords. He said "Of course." I checked in the game manual(RTFM), and sure enough, mages couldn't learn 2H swords.
