I'm 36. My twentysomething wife is on the extreme low side of the age range for my Horde guild.
Wow...don't even know the age of your own wife? Don't let her see this! :)

Or else he is being courteous by not revealing a woman's age.

I'd say it's more about being Safe for himself heh.

Strangely i have never met someone who was over 40 in my entire game time. Maybe some were but i could never tell for sure.
Just turned 50, female, proud tauren druid, and expecting my first grandchild soon :)
Btw, I almost never discuss my age in-game. People do treat you differently, whether you're very young (I've known 10 year old tanks) or older than they expect. I'd rather they just react to my game skills.
Good for you. I'll be 50 in a couple of weeks. Horde all the way.
Cheers.

37. Started playing vanilla WoW @ 4 yrs ago. I'm sure I'll be playing it for many more years. What hobby out there only cost $15 and entertains you all month long? Cheapest hobby I know of.

from what I understand of the lore the war between alliance and horde where started by the allies..
"good guys" is really subjective bud...
the other way to look at it.. in the face of overwhelming odds.. the horde still fought the alliance to a standstilll.. :D
oh im 37 as well.. most of my friends who play with me are also 30 something, we all live in the same town...a good many of the game friends I have all seem to be older as well... I think Vent sorts out a lot of things.

Im somewhere inbetween the ages of 15 and 22.
And I play Alliance for a few good reasons, I realised that the Horde were morons.
For instance, the Alliance decides to attack the scourge on the broken front and are about to make it through when TAH DAH! The moronic horde forces say "LOL LETZ ATTAK TEM FROM BHIND!"
Which lead to the destruction of both forces.
And now I learn that Thrall, the only hordie I like, is going to be overthrown by the big moron Gromm Hellscream, which will probably lead to more idiotic, yet, somehow respected horde advancements.
AKA bombing the NEs.
Horde needs to go away.

People like to associate young with bad and dumb. You can find people in their twenty's act completely dumb, and you can find people in the low teens act... well... normal.
I hate having to talk over vent just to hear a bunch of, "lol, how old r u like 7? go play with like legos or somethin."
Totally agreed. I'm 16, been playing for ~2 years, and play Horde. People can be idiots, jerks, whatever you'd like to call them no matter what the age, just as they can have a mature personality at any age. Oddly enough, my first character was a Night Elf Rogue I further deleted to begin an Orc Warlock. Then abandoned said Warlock, made a (Blood Elf... ._.) Hunter.
And now I'm going from Mage/Druid to Warrior... Boy I need to pick one.

Alliance has dumb young kids.
Fix'd. I find that the population of little kiddies playing
Human Warrior
Forsaken Death Knight/Rogue is much higher on
Alli than Horde
Horde than Alliance. Though, at least on Alliance, you don't get flamed to hell for asking for 5s, at level ten.

Of course there are more human kiddies on Alliance and more undead kiddies on Horde. I know what both of you were trying to say, but clear language matters.
I agree with a previous poster that the most likely factor in determining the behavior of a faction is its population, especially relative to the other faction, on a given realm. This thread alone shows that biological age is not necessarily the determining factor for choice of faction. And my experience bears this out.
When I began playing three years ago at the age of 37, I knew nothing of the lore and came from a DnD background. I thought Alliance was the "good" faction and I liked playing elf rangers, so I chose a NElf hunter. I also thought Horde races were ugly. When my 8 yo daughter wanted to play with me, she chose a NElf rogue. A few weeks later, she wanted to start a character to play on her own. She chose a Tauren druid. (BTW, she has always played with supervision.)
We have been playing mostly Horde for the last four months. She has made the switch better than I have. I still love gnomes (so cute!). She believes Horde on our server are more mature than the Alliance. She is now 11 and regularly tanks ToC10/25 and has tanked a couple of early bosses in ICC10/25 on her undead DK.
Biological age is simply a counter of our time on the planet. Far more than that determines our behavior, both in game and out.
