I think its more a matter of which side has more people as to how game play is effected.
for example with most realms seemingly being heavy ally you get a lot more Pug invites into raids. ( I was geared for 10 naxx and went in as OT for 10 uldar a number of times for guilds Id ran 5 mans with. this is a seriously rare thing on horde side.) the amount of PUG runs is MUCH greater ally side.. but.. the amount of griefers/ jerks/ et al you have to deal with is MUCH more.
Horde side; the retards are generally well known since theyre is much less of them in numbers being that horde side isnt as attractive to most.
I think the actual Age of most gamers on both sides is about the same %. its the amount of kids and the acceptance by thier peers for saying stupid stuff in trade/ leaving groups / etc etc that make ally side more of a paint to deal with..
all in all... while you may bounce through three groups to do a 5 man because people leave often, say they heal and havent ever done it, dont know how to tank, ( insert problem commonly found) on ally side.. your still going to complete the instance in about the same time you would waiting for a group on Horde side. often enough if your not well known or not in a guild that is well known or dont have a heavy friends list on horde side its very difficult to get a group for a dungeon. even moreso if your doing it while progressing ..
the seriousness of raiding is much more on horde side mostly because the guilds are not into wasteing eachothers time. but the frequency of doing old content, raiding a city etc. is MUCH less than ally side.
personally I prefer horde side mostly due to the pvp battlegrounds being a lot better, the ability to farm in peace is easy enough, and with the right group of people im doing dungeons and raids just as much where I on ally side.
of course this is just what ive seen, your view may be different.

I find that the population of little kiddies playing Human Warrior is much higher on Alli than Horde.
Well, seeing as Horde can't play as humans . . .
:P
Me? I'm 17 year old Horde fan. I've been a Hordie since I first discovered WoW back in . . . 2006? Of course, I preferred Orcs back in Warcraft 3 as well.

I'm 21, been playing since I was 18. I've played Horde just about the entire time, having only a few Alliance alts over my few years of play.

Im 24 soon to be 25, started playing about a month after release but also played in beta for alittle bit but didnt mess around with it much because of the endgame raiding guild I was in back in the everquest days. For the most part I have played Horde the entire time. I do have a 61 human rogue, 60 human warrior and 73 Night elf DK but the account with those toons have been inactive since the release of BC. Doubt I would ever go back to playing alliance.

Strangely i have never met someone who was over 40 in my entire game time. Maybe some were but i could never tell for sure.
Oh Really?

I'm 36. My twentysomething wife is on the extreme low side of the age range for my Horde guild.

Oh, I thought was about the lifespan of the different races in Azeroth.
Yeah, I don't have interest in a age competition of the factions.

im 28 and i play mainly alliance. i tried both races when i started playing 2 1/2 years ago but i just hated the horde starting areas. when they made it to where you could roll a DK on any server as long as you had one toon above 55, i made a Tauren DK to make gold with and then made an Orc hunter to level. i barely play my horde but from time to time i like going over and leveling them.

I haven't been playing very long; just finished my "free" month last week. My main is a lvl 45 tauren druid, and also have a lvl 17 tauren hunter and a lvl 13 blood elf rogue. I never even considered starting an alli toon - none of the alli races really interest me; if I did start one, I would probably go draenei.
I'm 37, and AFAIK the oldest in my guild. Our GM is 17, and most of the guildies are between 15 and 25.

I'm almost 18, and I've been playing WoW since I was 13 when my boyfriend, aunt and uncle got me into it.
I started as Alliance, made a night elf hunter and got her to level 14 before I rerolled Horde to play with my friends. I still play Horde, though I have a few low level Alliance alts as well.
Most of the people on my friends list are my age to mid 40s, as well as a few younger players and a few older ones.
