Well, seeing as I wear shirts with dragons, demons, and other mythological creatures on them.... I'd wear a WoW shirt if I had any. Who cares what some random person thinks about what you wear, it's not of their business after all.

Ah, the egotism/insecurity!
honestly, my belief is, unless you are really really hot or hideously ugly, 90% of the population isnt gonna look at you long enough to even notice what you are wearing.

My girlfriend bought me a "For the Horde" t-shirt, and I wear it whenever it happens to be clean and on the top.
Yes I play WoW, no I don't care what some random person thinks of me. Oh no, I'm a nerd. Big whoop, wanna fight about it? ;)

I wear wow T-shirts almost everywhere. And I have never gotten any negative comments or anything about that, except when my non-wow friends tease me (I just mention their MW2 T-shirts that usually shuts them up :D )
Pretty much same here. I sometimes have downtime at work, and the occasional customer will come in and be like "Oh you're playing WoW?" and I sort of get a little snicker type thing. Then I just state that yes, I am indeed playing WoW, and getting paid for it. How's your job?
Also, I do get the people who are like "Oh cool, what server are you on?" etc. They then realize that I'm playing WoW at work and promptly ask for an application. :P

Best MMO I've ever played, and where I spent the majority of my free time... hell yeah I feel comfortable wearing my shirt or hoodie in public. Only comments I get, are when I pass other people and they go "DUDE WHAT SERVER YOU PLAY ON".
WoW players are a community unto ourselves. Forget anyone that judges you by that; I'm too busy laughing at people that wear assorted sports jersies everywhere to notice anyway.

That defeats the whole point of the rest of your post.
A good chunk of people spend the majority of their life / free time playing/watching/following sports. Are they any different than you?

I had a shirt made for myself way back in the day that had "Scholomance University" on it. It's fun watching to see when someone gets it.

I wouldn't have a problem wearing any Warcraft- or gaming-related apparel in public. I probably wouldn't go around bragging to my friends that I play WoW, but if someone brings it up, sure, I'll admit to playing it, and probably even try to kick up a conversation if they play as well.
Thing is, though, I probably wouldn't
buy
anything of the sort to begin with; I'm quite comfortable with buying from the stores that I already shop at, and there's usually more merchandise at my usual spots that catch my eye than I can afford to buy, so I rarely have excess amounts of money for clothes. I do have a BFG shirt as well as a Legend of Zelda shirt and a Horde insignia shirt that I have received either from contests, RMAs, or as gifts, but I don't normally wear them because I've either outgrown them or they are way too large for me to fit into (the BFG shirt that was sent to me along with my RMA is a size XL!).

Very different, thankfully. Which
is
the point, so nice catch!
It's the 'mainstream' (sporty, faddish) types that will judge others for their less-than-popular interests. Because sports are 'normal'; after all, we're all raised to watch, play, and know the rules of ___ball since we're old enough to walk. But reading, video games, tabletop games...that's for nerds! People with no life, go out and get laid, go party, et cetera...according to the 'normal' crowd, anyway.
The abnormal folks, that just do their own thing, work, enjoy what they can get as it comes... you don't see that kinda stuff from them, not usually anyway. That's my crowd. ^_^
