I couldn't care less if you're a male playing a female toon.
If you're a female playing a male toon though, i will assume you're badass.
Whoever plays a female dwarf, i will /cheer.
Whoever is playing a female belf however (unless it's a pally ... maybe), i will /sigh and / or /facepalm at. Yup, I'm just that sick of them.

I say what I said in the last thread like this:
Is it bad that J K Rowling, Garth Nix, and so many others have written books about a character of the opposite sex? Are they "gay," "sexually repressed," or some other term that you guys like throwing around?

Kind of. Mostly because everyone assumes that if you play a female character you're a male.
I stopped correcting people who would call me a guy a long time ago.
Yay for Vent! <3

I personally have never cared about it either way. Partly because I've done it myself. But I generally don't think about the gender of whoever I'm chatting with in-game. If I find out/they tell me, okay. Otherwise, eh. When face-to-face with a character I'll just go by what I see.

Honestly, I don't care or judge unless you PRETEND to be something you are not.
As in lie about being female or male when in fact you are the opposite gender.
Otherwise, it's fair game. Male until proven otherwise for me, like a few other posters.

And of course women who play male characters are never mentioned in these debates. ;)
I've quoted it, and i'll quote it again :)
"Girls can wear jeans
And cut their hair short
Wear shirts and boots
Cause it's okay to be a boy
But for a boy to look like a girl is degrading
Cause you think being a girl is degrading
But secretly
You'd love to know what it's like
Wouldn't you?
What it feels like for a girl"
Of course "degrading" is a strong word, but i'm jus' quotin' ;)

I really don't care.
If people have issues with it, they have personal problems that they need to sort out.
This x 1,000,000.

I don't care. Like has been said already, I assume 90% are male regardless of the sex of the toon. I have 3-4 female characters, but there is a reason. My banker is a female undead Warlock because I have a male undead Warlock as my main, my Priest is a female because it tends to fit the class having a female robe wearing Priest and I like the idea of a female healer better than a male healer. My Warrior is male, it seems to fit the class better, same with Rogue. I was up in the air as to whether I wanted my Mage to be male or female but ultimately chose male. I used to have a female BE Paladin but she got deleted to make room for my DK.

Had one in my old guild in BC. She played a male orc hunter.

Don't care. I just assume everyone I meet is male until told otherwise, regardless of their toon's gender.
The rules go likes this: 1. Those claiming to be male online, are men. 2. Those claiming to be be female online, are also men. 3. Those claiming to be children online, are law enforcement agents.
