Hm you know, the best fries, other then the home made ones are the ones you get from diners/non-commercial restaurants.

None of them, Home-made are the best.
I can make fries at home from a bag that comes from the freezer aisle at the store. Does that count? :-(
No, it has to be the ones you actually cook for yourself; where you cut up the potato and put them in a fryer and all that good stuff.
Naah, get them at a nice restaurant, not a chain. Where they're expensive.

If his thread are so bad, then all you people have to do is NOT respond to them .. they will die on their own. However, I actually like the occasional new subject that has nothing to do with politics or a stupid forum game. So, as Elaus said ... just don't click the f'ing thread if it bothers you so much. Man, some of you people $%^& me off with your "I own these boards" attitude.
You have to realize that this thread has no opportunity to grow. After a person says what kind of fries they like... it's done. And it isn't like he made a mediocre thread... he made 90 of them, after multiple people asked him to stop. Sure, there are people that don't mind his threads, but the greater part of the population finds them, frankly, annoying.

I want to know, so I am going to keep a tally of the votes here. My vote goes to Fuddruckers, so...
#1. Fuddruckers: 1
#1. McDonald's: 1
#1. Yukon Gold: 1
#1. Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles: 1
#5. Wendy's: 0.5
#5. Burger King: 0.5
Go! Go!
Forgot to add New York Fries. The only chain that started just to make the fries. Seriously now. >.< *grinds teeth with anger*

So what if there is no room for the thread to grow? If this thread lasts for 2 hours and then dies, so what? Some people are entertained by the topic, and that is all that matters. You people who don't like it need to just shut up and stay out if it annoys you so much.
Who died and made you the judge over what threads are worthy to be made or not? If there are specific rules and criteria for posting new threads, I've certainly never seen any that would exclude making a new thread because it "has no opportunity to grow". A thread does not have to have the potential for a long drawn out discussion or debate in order to be worth creating.
I see your point. It isn't hurting anyone.

I wonder if this thread will grow and branch out, like ringlets of water in a pool,
Or, perhaps it will rot and fry, like a carcass against hot, hot metal.
Most of all though, I think, years ahead, someone shall find this thread,
And wonder, why it was never,
finished.
Or why it was ever started.

But then one must ask whether hurt is the only measure by which we judge things.

Perhaps a thread is just a thread?

Do you think we could kill this thread, by filling it too full? The recycle bin has room for infinite expansion.... infinite... but this thread has room for little expansion beyond french fries. Perhaps... if we fill it beyond its limit... it will explode, and splatter its greasy, salty, potatoy guts all over the rest of the randomness threads.
It's worth a try.
