Farmer's code: "If you can kill it, you can farm it. If you can't kill it, find a way to kill it."
Great guide. Thank you.

I've heard that by
farming "old world"
(BC and original WoW) for bind on pick-up and
disenchanting them
, you can earn almost 300g per hour by selling the disenchant results.
Sell blue drop ,DE every green you found!
Farming MC trash is a good way to earn money! Fiery and Lava core can sold for 75-100 g at ah!

"You do not need to be asian, or otherwise located in an asian vicinity."
I had to laugh for several minutes after reading that part
hahaha.

I saw a few suggestions that are helpful sub 80 sub 70. Maybe the level 20, 30, 40, 50, doesn't have the epic mount but there are plenty of expenses; such as your first mount, training, skills, repairs, upgrades if you don't have someone to help you farm instances and for the love of Tanaris can't find a PUG.
Many of the "how to make gold" and "how to farm gold" threads seem to be geared to end game levels versus the guy who is 20 or 45. I would like to see suggestions for those range players as well.
I think a two gathering profession character can help get your golded up as you level to the cap. I took mining and skinning both of which are things I can take advantage of as I am questing, grinding, exploring, etc.
Currently I am selling Copper (when i make a Barrens run) gold, silver, true silver, and mithril in bar form and thorium in ore form and depending on the day and number of stacks, I can bring in around 40-80g per day and I am not out "farming" it but just mining as I travel from location to location (sometimes I do take the scenic route versus the FP since I know there is a lot of ore along the way).
Skinning varies from stacks of heavy leather doing well to thick leather not selling at all - I am still in Kalimdor/EK questing and only hearthing to Shattrath so I am sure that will pick up as I level up
Fishing - I have worked to get my fishing up over 300 and as someone mentioned that can be another source of decent income. I drop a line in almost every pond/river/mudhole I pass in my travels - even if it is usually only for 10 casts before moving on to my quest. This keeps me on a steady leveling pace and gives me buff food and/or AH items.
Also for the lower levels sell everything you can on the AH and get big bags so you can save and npc everything else. It hurts when I have full packs and have to destroy something even if it is only 15 silver. Think about doing that 1000 times over the course of leveling and you just destroyed 150g
I think you can specifically set out to farm - yes but you can also "farm" as you traverse the vast world of WOW going about your daily fun.

I think the best gold per hour can be done with dailies and a gathering profession. Dailies can be done very fast once you know what to do and grant 13G each. While killing stuff and moving around you'll find a lot of ores or herbs, greens and vendor-trash. Plus, you always have the random possibility to get rare and VERY valuable "world" drops (Northerend only) that will sell for great gold on AH.
Old instances can offer some fun but wont give you a "standard" income. Sometimes you're lucky and sell everything for 500G, sometimes you just get stuff for 100G. Overall I
feel
daily stuff and gathering are much more profitable.
