They clearly designed him to look like the kind of savage brute that would lead the horde to damnation.
last time I checked any orc can look savage under the correct lighting
same can apply to gnomes and night elves.

Maybe I doesn't mean that Garrosh will be a savage. Maybe it mean he is a savage right now. It might be showing how the actual Garrosh is.
Also it seems that Garrosh skin is redish brown... not the same red skin tone that the fel orcs have.

yes, he is a fel-orc!
i predict that all players will be kicked out of Orgrimmar some patches into cata, and that place turned into a fel-orc/demon themed raid-instance, with garrosh as end boss. this being the pinnacle raid after the "defeat deathwing raid" to keep us occupied until "Wrath of the lich king 2" maybe we will even see the new Lich King as part of the new faction that wants to defeat garrosh to get us into the groove of Wotlk2.

Maelstrom will be next.

Garrosh: I now say "FOR WARCH
IE
F GARROSH!" Closest thing to a living Grom..
Fixed, I hope they find a cure for dyslexia.
Meh, it's happened to us all at some point. And this site doesn't have spell check.
Yes, yes it does. You see those crazy red lines under things when you type? It means they are spelled wrong and if you right click said lines it gives you a nice list of words it thinks you are trying to spell.

You must be using Firefox. Besides, Warchief isn't an "official" word.

Is that the case? I've used Firefox so long I don't even know what Explorer looks like. I apologize then, just figured it was a feature of the site.

Major threats in the Dream have been dealt with already(see Stormrage for full story), and while there is still a small section of it under corruption, the main threat has been destroyed. Also, why would Garrosh, a Warrior and Orc from another planet have any connection to the Dream? No orc has had any so far (discounting Thura, again, refer to Stormrage), so suddenly having him with an untold connection doesn't make a lick of sense.
Again, the figure looks like an homage to his Father, so we'll just have to wait and see from here on in.

First off, that is an excellent sculpt. I may not like Garrosh, but that is the kind of badass I wanted to see on Draenor. Not the mewling child, or the arrogant arse we have now. His father's son. Anyhow, on to the juicy lore hidden here...
The only thing I'm curious about is why? Either way Blizz goes, they come off as recycling Grom's story. Say he becomes a noble leader. Well, you're just rehashing Grom's better moments, especially his sacrifice to end the curse. Say he becomes a fel orc. Again, you're rehashing Grom, but at his worst, driving the orcs into a vile part of history. So, what exactly does any of this add to the lore?
I'd have to say nothing.
It's a reuse of a dramatic element, possibly to solidify Thrall's resolve. Thrall tolerates Garrosh because he is Grom's son, and Grom was both a hero and brother to Thrall. When Thrall faced the corrupted Grom in Ashenvale, he was facing the demon that held tight to his people, a symbol of the noble savage defending his freedom (ala Conan, etc.). Everyone has forgotten that Thrall is a devastating and brutal warrior when need be, the Bloodlust controlled and focused. But when he lets go he can be just as bad as any other orc... Need I remind you all of
Lord Blackmoore
who Thrall quite literally destroyed with all his might. Thrall is not so peace loving, if given the proper motivation, namely defense of those things he holds dear. So when he see's the son of Grom corrupted as his father was, he will take him down, and show everyone that he is the Warchief, and none other.
It will be epic, and a worthy conclusion to that arc, if Blizz decides to pursue that storyline.

That's still doesn't quite fit with Kirisani's comments.

I'm as proud of being a member of the Horde as the next guy, believe me, but I think the Horde needs to show more open acts of hostility towards the Alliance. I rolled an Orc because of the lore behind their race; yes, they fight for defense and survival, but they also take great honor and pride in battle, something which I feel the Horde has been lacking as of late. I don't entirely agree with Garrosh's notions, but I do think that something can be had from them.
There is a considerable gap between being a race of warriors, and going around picking fights for no real reason. Particularly when events that are literally tearing the world apart are being your next door neighbor.
I can respect the warriors pride, really. But there's more battle looming than even Saurfang would want without having to declare war against a potential ally.

This ^
Thats where the breakdown between two sides comes here with the horde. The warrior aspect of the horde, which craves fighting and wars and even bloodshed to fill there rage, and the other side of the horde, the one that acts on honor, survival and overcoming there past flaws.
Those that see Garrosh as a leader are those of the horde of the warrior kind, well everyone else follows Thralls notion.
Now, which one has more chance of surviving, the reckless pursuit of the warrior, or the other kind. Warriors of the horde have a habit of dying, Grom, Doomhammer, Brox, Draenosh, well others seem to survive.

Garrosh does
NOT
look like a fel orc. For one, he's brown, not red.
Look at this
picture
(make sure to view in 3d.)
The fel orcs have spikes that go down their spines while Garrosh does not. (At least not in the action figure.)
Fel orcs also have several prominent tusks while Garrosh also does not.
Compare Garrosh to other fel orcs and I'm sure you'll agree that while he does appear savage and ruthless, he does not look like them. What about a
Chaos Orc
, like Grom and his clan?
Or the Fel Orc casters, who were just red orcs?
Not that I believe that he is a Fel Orc (look brown to me), but I'm just saying that the fact that he doesn't have spikes and extra tusks does not necessarily exclude him.
