The very basis of nearly every religion is that it is unfalsifiable, and therefore outside the realm of science. It is quite impossible to have scientific evidence that proves anything meaningful with regard to religion.I'm sure there are a few religious fanatics out there that say science is evil, logic is evil, etc. But, in my eyes, Science is the study of God's creation. It can be poisoned just like everything else out there.
You miss the point.
Religion is outside the realm of science. Religion is unfalsifiable, deals only with the supernatural, and is inherently not scientifically provable.

Yet, they fail because its an attempt to tack an
a priori
concept on a system that prides itself in falsifiability.

Which would make them idiots.

I don't see why it sounds so far fetched for a Christian to submit scientific evidence in his belief. I've seen many atheistic debaters use moral arguments against Christianity.Which would make them idiots.I fail to see anything other than opinion here, so I will express my own. I believe that men like Frank Turek and Ravi Zacharias are very intelligient individuals who are representing the Christian community in a very positive manner.

The problem is falsifiability. If you don't know what it is, go look it up. -_-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falsifiability
Falsifiability is an important concept in science and the philosophy of science. The concept was made popular by Karl Popper, who, in his philosophical analysis of the scientific method, concluded that a hypothesis, proposition, or theory is "scientific" only if it is falsifiable. Popper however stressed that unfalsifiable statements are still important in science, and are often implied by falsifiable theories. For example, while "all men are mortal" is unfalsifiable, it is a logical consequence of the falsifiable theory that "every man dies before he reaches the age of 150 years". Similarly, the ancient metaphysical and unfalsifiable idea of the existence of atoms has led to corresponding falsifiable modern theories.

Sooo, Blizz is a Satanic Company who wants their costumers to become addicted to a game. Aaaand, WoW makes your minds go like: OMG I MUST PLAY TEH GAME MOAR! F SOCIAL LIFE, I MUST RAID! WOOT!
Without the satanic label, yes, this is exactly what Blizzard wants, because the more people that play regularly and pay for their account(s), the more money they get. Also, yes, WoW is one of the most addictive games out there, and that line in caps is exactly what a lot of people think.
As for the Blog that started this thread: I can understand people being amused by it (I am too), but is it really necessary to try turn it into a 'war' as several people have posted? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and most people like to see their opinion confirmed by like-minded people, which is pretty much what the Blogger does. Just leave them be.

I still don't see the difference between an athiest and a theist's beliefs, if they both present scientific evidence.
I assume that you're trying to say that, because someone has a religioius belief, that their opinion doesn't matter.
I don't think my opinion matters. I don't think yours does, either.
Unless you can back up your opinion with something solid, then your opinion is just that - your opinion. You aren't required to respect mine; I'm not required to respect yours. Opinions carry no weight. Outside of the person holding the opinion, it means nothing - nada, jack spit.
I won't take away your right to have your own opinion, but that doesn't mean that I have to agree with it, nor does it restrict me from presenting evidence as to why your opinion is invalid. That isn't impolite - it's called debate.
However, the moment that someone starts proselytizing their opinion (read: belief) to the government, then I will stand up and ask them, "Why is this necessary? Outside of your personal beliefs, why is this just for society as a whole?"

If they can scientifically prove that their god exists, then good for them. As I said earlier, when presented with proof, I don't close my ears. However, I have yet to be presented with that proof.

Should we bother to point out all of the religious allegories in WoW (i.e. the Light, the Naaru, the Argent Crusade), or would they pass it off as a ploy to disguise WoW's inherent Satanism?
(of course, they are aligning themselves to more of a Scarlet Crusade mentality...)
I thought the scarlet crusade was an allegory of the 12th century Catholic church and their insane belief that all muslims must be purged and that anything other than what they believed was punishable by death!
