I guess the only proof I have that she would delete the comments that don't support her are the lack there of. Because by now one of us would have wrote some sort of comment trying to debunk her view.
Why would you think something like that! =O We're all nice people and we'll never flame someone's opinions! Right guys?

I, personally, do not follow this logic at all. How do you think Evolution came about? Someone had a belief that we evolved from lower life forms, then decided to tell others about it. And, I'm pretty sure more than half of the people in this thread believe in it. Say, someone discovers a cure to cancer... They attempt to tell others about it, and even give evidence to prove their point. Should we just laugh in their face, because they're forcing their beliefs down our throats?
No, someone didn't BELIEVE in evolution at all. Darwin came up with a specific scientific hypothesis he called evolution; he then presented evidence, in the form of direct observation, to support his hypothesis. Over the years, biologists have studied, rejected, and refined Darwin's hypothesis into a working theory, supported by scads of scientific data.
There is a very clear difference between a "belief" and a "scientific theory". You cannot present evidence for a belief; a belief is something that you accept without any (valid) supporting evidence.
If someone were able to present me with credible evidence that the Bible is true, and that accepting their belief structure is the only way to avoid an eternity of torment, then I would convert to Christianity. However, they don't do that; instead, they simply shout loudly that their beliefs are true
because they believe them
, and tell me that I should believe the same as they to avoid the eternal torment in which they believe.

Probably has nothing to do with your question or opinion or whatever, but a few years ago I heard in the news that people found a book or something similar that Jesus was never betrayed by, who was it Judas?, and that they were best friends. This was found somewhere in Egypt if memory serves well.
And that goes directly against what the Bible is telling.

Probably a gnostic gospel.
The common counterpoint (and I use that term loosely) is that its not divinely inspired so you can't use it.

Yeah, the Gospel of Judas. It's one of at least 30+ books that have been rejected from the Bible because they contradict the claims of divinity made by the church since the Council of Nicea back in 325 AD.
To be fair, some of the rejections are because the apparent veracity of the text cannot be proven - but when you consider that the veracity of many of the other books of the Bible remain unproven, it seems sort of arbitrary.

Actually, I'm a Christian and I play WoW. When it comes to how people interpret the Bible or don't (as in, don't touch it), I accept it as just that...their interpretation. Saying Christians are "wierd" or lack rationale makes you as intolerant as you claim them to be...thus, no better. Everyone has their own core beliefs, faiths, mores, and values. There is diversity amongst everyone. You can't expect someone to think your argument valid if you don't accept their's.
Oh, I agree. I try not to generalize.
However, I also don't expect people to accept my argument as valid unless I can back up my argument with something tangible - and I don't accept someone's beliefs simply because they believe them. I will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them to defend their right to have those beliefs, but again, the moment that they start claiming that their beliefs are the "right" ones and must apply to everyone, they become the enemy of freedom.

Great, Postmodernism. *sigh*

Yes you can. You can use logic to determine the validity of an argument in a way that's completely irrelevant to yourself or the other person's views. To beat the bloody remains of what used to be a dead horse- What you said equates to having to accept the validity of the Nazi view on race to make your own argument against the Nazi view on race.
Or put a different way, you can accept that other people have different beliefs, you can understand why they have different beliefs, but you don't have to accept that they are right about them. :|

Yeah, but Shamans can resurrect themselves. Warlocks fight with the powers of the main fire and the Satan! Clearly that makes them an abomination unto, um... someone.
