Aye - I like the Jury (can't remember its name right now) system; it is; while you might think otherwise, very fair, and (relatively) difficult to abuse. I too feel like it could probably be very useful in other MMOs.

I think it is the little things like that that make a game great. I wish I could try it out for myself.

Why can't you? It runs on any computer and is F2P.
Anyway, the jury is pretty solid. They also have an automated banning system which I HATE. My PC died once when I was level six or so, and I got a temp ban for AFKing. It made me so mad I nearly quit (luckily I kept playing and learned to love LoL).(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Ashelia##DELIM##

I believe it has to do with his Internet.

Satalite internet connectivity gives me too much latency, at least 2 seconds. It doesn't sound like much, but 2 second latency is gigantic when you need to flash heal, or are trying to shoot a moving target, etc... The only other internet I have is 28.8 dial up, which actually runs more like 10-20Kbps. Good latency, but you drop connection once an hour or so, and can't handle too much on the screen at one time.

I can't tell how the game is designed by reading the wiki on it. Is there individual battle maps, in which the battle is contained? As in, there is not an expansive world to explore? I don't know if I like that. I prefer world of warcraft in the manner that you can go where you like.
To a large extent, that was my favorite thing about Everquest 1. The world of Everquest 1 was massive. Much much larger than World of Warcraft. Also, there was no maps, nor fast traveling, nor flight paths. You had to learn the map by exploring and familiarizing yourself to the map, by memorizing landmarks, and exploring. You also couldn't solo anything, ever. You had to get a group of people together, decide on a destination, and all of you traveled there as a group, fighting adversaries along the way. It was an adventure in the way you read about them in novels. Not this Q for a dungeon, follow recipe for win, rinse repeat. It's too impersonal. You don't get to have a group of players together, spending hours with them, facing an uncertain future, discovering new things, learning each other's play style, etc. MMOs have gotten way to cookie cutter. It's sad.
If League of Legends does have small maps with a game played on those maps, it doesn't sound like it would have appeal to me.

It's basicly DOTA in a better (imo) format. It's always 5v5 in small maps.

It's not an MMORPG type of game so it doesn't have open worlds.
It's a lot like how you queue for Arathi Basin or WSG. There are 3 different types of maps: Twisted Treeline (3v3), Summoner's Rift (5v5), and Dominion (5v5, but it's like AB, where you capture points).
There will actually be a BG inspired by DOTA, LoL, and HoN in Mists of Pandaria supposedly--it's a turret hugging game. They're also putting a TF2 inspired one as well, so I guess they're trying to take from other games.
I think the appeal from me isn't the world whatsoever, but rather, the PvP element. I suspect that's what draws most of the playerbase, as it really is extremely satisfying to do a 3v1 and walk away the victor.

I vastly prefer PvE than PvP. I actually prefer a game that explicitly does not have, or extremely limits PvP, that way the developers focus on making quality PvE instead.

I <3 that there's NO PvE in this game, unless you count jungling for whatever reason. It's an awesome game with a full team of friends.

Well there is PvE against bots.

It's more of a PvP simulator imo.

And the bot's AI is beyond pathetic. Acceptable in Co-op, but on custom games, forget it, the bots are farmable with 50 kills/0 deaths and no turrets lost with extreme ease. Any champion I pick on a custom game, maximum I get is 3 deaths, and all on my stupid tendency to ignore minion damage on custom games when I really shouldn't early on. The Co-op ones are tolerable, but leave the jungle unattended and overcommit a lot.

Just lost because my team fed a SORAKA. She went midlane against Graves (we both had weird comps) and he managed to go 0/3 against, yes, a SORAKA. I have some sort of magnet in my body that attracts complete idiots, and it works over the internet.

New patch!
Which means I get to wait for like half an hour while the launcher checks over half of the local files so it knows what to patch. I can't think of any other game that does that. Oh well.

I can't find the patch notes. I looked under the Release Notes, but there was nothing.
