Me and my friends played a game as Diana, Jax, Akali, Irelia and Lee Sin. There was much jumping around.

Apparently there's a lot of asktheleague pictures I've missed. Too bad it's no longer updated.

You ever play a champion and wonder "What the hell was Riot thinking making this guy AP?" Happens all the time when I mess with Nautilus, wouldn't he make so much more sense as AD instead?
No, but I do play against champions and think "What the hell was Riot thinking designing this guy?"
:D

I guess the idea is that they want to limit in the amount of damage Nautilus can do with basic attacks because of utility / whatever and it's easier to control that via AP scaling. If he was AD instead with an identical toolkit and wound up being overpowered they'd have to consider a full AD build and then start to nerf utility from there to rein him in. Stuff like ability cooldowns / ranges, disable durations etc. AP kinda fits his lore as well, I think.
Also, Nautilus melee attacks with high attack speed would look ridiculous.

They put AP scaling on the abilities on purpose so they don't have to just keep a flat number there or balance the champion (probably making it weaker by a large margin in early game) just to make it scale with AD (and vice versa).
Also.
I think I need to do some work. Any idea what font is used in the meme format?

More Patch Previews.
Abyssal Scepter gets a shorter range, Diana gets a nerf, AD Carries are messed with and some more.
I dunno. I think nerfing those 3 AD carries specifically was justified. I found them to be....a tad strong.
Abyssal and Diana nerf were also justified.
