the bit about lvl80 twinks=lvl19 twinks.
I don't need to go into details. When will people ever learn? That isn't true. One simple fact is enough to prove it - you DO NOT need a support character to "twink" at 80. You will always be below true twinks at 19 if you do not have a level 80 main.

Apparently Irish is the only one who actually reads the posts before he posts. Probably why his make more sense than most in here. But the good thing is I think we have come up with a pretty good solution to this problem. Irish I disagree that just one realm should be the nominated twink realm, I think an entire battlegroup makes more sense. You never now how many transfers will result from an offer like this and if just one realm were nominated the server may end up overly stressed and laggy. Since all bgs are linked by battlegroup you should be able to have just as many games going even though the players are spread across the whole group.
I also think Blizzard should know exactly how many characters have frozen their xp. They should easily be able to pinpoint the group(maybe we already know this is nightfall or ruin) and nominate whichever group already has the highest amount of twinks. Making the transition even less painful. One issue i see with this is players who have no interest in twinking, but are wanting to transfer, freezing their xp just to get the free transfer. I think they will need to put in place a cool down of sorts, stating that if you move your frozen toon, he can not have is xp turned back on for 30 days after the move.
This would also have one very cool side effect for the lucky battlegroup. A great boost in the economy for old world mats. The converse, a somewhat lessened economy for all the servers that lost the twinks, but its so spread out that the good here outweighs the bad.
Okay problem solved, nuff said. (now if this were only blizzards actual forums we might have been able to get a blue response.)

Sooo NOT true.....my main (a resto shaman) was a twink in every bracket when I leveled. I would mine/skin to get the money for enchants....run instances from x0-x7 for the "BiS" gear, then que at x7 to get the BiS PvP items from the WSG, AB, AV vendors.
Interesting. Go get your heirlooms on your level 19.
Also, if you wish to support your point, use facts. Do not go down on people just because they counter your arguments. That is a childish behaviour, and a fallacy.

(don't wanna do a quote pyramid) stuff
Lets see.
First, WoW is about little numbers. A bit more on this piece of gear, a bit on that, and you've got an overall edge on battle.
Heirlooms tend to be BiS pieces for lower brackets, of course. A player using regular Insignia of the <Faction> is on a disadvantage if fighting a player with inhertited insignia(+Resillience). You may babble all you want that this is a small difference, but it IS a difference. Returning to our original twink19=twink80, we begin to see a couple of disparities.
I could dig in more cases where heirlooms happen to be BiS. I just won't bother, because it is not the point. The point is, there IS indeed a difference, small as it is. If you are unable to accept that, you are wrong.
Second, i don't recall saying it's impossible to find your BiS pieces of gear or a couple of alternatives.
Third, nice laugh. Try to win ANY - i mean, ANY fight as a nontwink level19 priest facing a twinked melee class. I can trash any noob rogue i happen to face on my starter pvp geared priest. (if you consider a level80 fresh player as a green, denied. The blue starter set is the very least one can get and is super easy to do so.) But no matter how good I can play, with my level 19 priest, they sprint at me and i'm done. I have no support cooldowns at all, my only safeguard is psychic scream, my mana expires in 5 casts and i cannot counter. The disparity is such that i found a twink player that i could not kill EVEN WITH HIM AFK. I was wearing mostly blues (including all pvp-bought items but insignia), and my mana ran out before i could burn all his HP.(ofc i eventually killed him, but it took me more than 100% of my mana). Does this really happen at 80?
Fourth. Twinks do not require skill to gear up and be top-notch. 80s do have to earn what they are wielding. Why do you think some twinks decided it wasn't fun to BG anymore? They had everything handed to them in such a way that it took little skill to win. If fights are going to be all about who spent the most time gearing up... /yawn. You speak of lazyness and time spent? I speak of skill versus the lack of it. However, this point IS controversial. Some people never get tired of fights they know they have a much better than average chance of winning, some dispise such players.
To do a twink is on one's interests, but stop making completely biased assumptions and absurd comparisons to top-level pvp. It is not the same.

Wrath i get the sense that your ideal solution for this issue is to allow people to either turn on xp or turn off xp but keep both groups in the same battleground? Your insistence that 80 pvp twinking is no different than twinking in any other bracket leads me to believe this is what your looking for.
Believe it our not i personally would not care if they did this. I have no delusions about low level pvp and dont care if i do get stomped by a twink in the early brackets. But its unrealistic to think Blizzard feels this way. They have already offered their opinion on this and have split the 2 groups. They will never return to how it was. You qq's about this will fall on deaf ears, you should be asking for a new home for your twinks and a free transfer to get them there.
In regards to your claim that 80 twinks dont differ from x9 twinks I have this to say(as stated before about 5 pages ago in this thread) 80's dont buy their gear with gold. They earn it. For example it may be very possible for a twink to purchase their BIS weapon off the AH. To get the BIS weapon at 80 you need an arena rating of 1800. So while I agree that a fully geared character @ 80 is nearly as dangerous to a lowbie 80 as a 19 twink is to a lowbie 19 it doesnt matter, the 80 earned their gear and deserve the upper hand, the 19 did nothing but farm herbs or ore or play the ah to get theirs. A 19 twink's ability to pwn non twinked characters is not necessarily a refelction on their talent. But you can bet that an 80 fully decked out in relentless knows a thing or two about pvp.
