Virginity is a label that can defined many ways, especially in the case of men. Defining whether non-vaginal sex contributes to a loss of male virginity is not within the scope of the Church's teachings.

The only bad thing about masturbation is that you don't spread the joy. Sex is usually better and makes more than one person happy.
Couples use self pleasure too. They aren't just limited to 2 minutes of missionary.
The bible teaches that fantasising about somebody you aren't married to is a sin, because you are coveting something you don't have. But if you are married, you can masturbate while thinking about your spouse as much as you want.
Medically, female virginity is lost when the hymen is broken. (Some) Fundamental christians believe that due to the loss of blood when the hymen breaks, thou who hast broken thy hymen should forever be in covenant with the owner of the hymen.

The bible says that, maybe, but a lot of philosophy and papal decrees disagree.
Now, frankly, I personally look to the philosophers and the decrees when I'm interested in real Catholic doctrine. At least we know who wrote it, when they wrote it, roughly how many times it's been translated, and we're not trying to piece it together from thumb-sized scraps of animal hides.

I took him as giving his own views on the matter, not necessarily the Catholic view. But I respect your attitude toward Catholic doctrine.

Sorry, I was coming from a fundy-mental christian P.O.V (pretty much an
interpretation
) not catholic. That's just from my background in church. I don't subscribe to it anymore. Not going to church means I can beat off as much as I want.

I think it is rather healthy to masturbate, it relieves tension and gives you immense pleasure, why would anything be wrong with that?
I also find it to be very important in learning about your body, what you like, what you don't like, which can and most likely will improve your sex life in the future :)
Yes I do it myself, therefor busting the myth that some people think girls don't masturbate, I actually think that girls might do it more than guys at at least just as much as them.
