Hey, blame Blizzard, they admitted that the only reason Goblins and Worgen get DKs is because all the races have Death Knights. And why Draenei? I mean, technically, in the Lore of the Death Knights themselves, they shouldn't have ever been captured and turned as there probably weren't that many of them out there. While all 9 of the other races did engage the Scourge and could have been captured and transformed from the start of WoW, with the Blood Knights any of those of Kael's who died in the North with that force Illidan took with him.

just me but a tauren paladin... over an UNDEAD paladin...? really? how is it a cow can weild the light over a ONCE human who may have been a paladin before becoming forsaken ( more likely than a cow standing up and blessing you) ? EPIC fail blizzard.. at least make it wielders of the black light or something.. all white cloth GLOWS in the presence of the undead paladin....

I recall a lore statement that explained that undead priests were all shadow, in lore, and that players are only able to be holy/discipline from a gameplay mechanics standpoint. Priest is barely justified through the shadow tree, so explain how Paladin could possibly be justified?

Because the Light burns the Forsaken.... and seeing as there is no Shadow tree, they'd be destroyed if they tried to control it.

The light burns, does not mean it kills. Really the easiest way to think of forsaken paladins would be something like flagellants, as they see their dark lady like a god.
But I do have a question, if the different trees represent different types of a class like shadow priest, would the light used by a ret paly be as holy as a holy palys?
It kills; the Paladins decimated the Scourge forces in Warcraft 3. Until there is something with a shadow taint to the Paladin class, there probably won't be any paladins for the Undead. And yes the Light is the same for Ret, Tank, and Healing.

The cow does not wield the light at all?

Best: Tauren Paladin, prot/ret
Worst: Worgen anything because their dance makes me want to cut my self.

Eh, hey now, this is me Farseer lol, I know that Lore wise, there are no Holy priests; and even the Disc ones are just a branch of Shadow.

It'd be cool if they renamed the trees after the lore of each race. Holy would be Respect, Disc would be Tenacity, and Shadow would be Power. (taken off the Forgotten Shadow wowwiki entry's 3 virtues - I recognize some might suck)
Heh, nah I think the Shadow tree would be better renamed after the Fourth Virtue for the Cult; Death.

are
using the Light. Sure, it hurts them, but they're strong-willed enough to manage." They basically implied that it was all about willpower.
Which resulted in a (pretty much understandable) backlash from Nobundo's rather extensive fanbase.

Ah, didn't know that(mainly because I don't frequent those forums), of course, it's not a really a case of will power in the case of the Broken and Nobundo; it's because of the Fel Gas that was released in Shattrah that cut them off from the Light... which is a different kettle of fish from the Light and the Forsaken when the Light literally tears at them.

And I don't blame you for steering clear of the Awful Forums, at all.

Then they are idiots to not realize the entire reason the Broken exist lol.

My guess is that they wanted to justify the game mechanic and didn't think of the Broken because they aren't a playable race (nor a skin of the Draenei currently.)That's probably more or less what it is.... especially since the Pally nerf way back when, when their skills against the Undead counted against the Forsaken and they could just rock them into nothing.

Also, on the subject of Broken, I can't say much as I don't know much about them. From Wowwiki, they say that it's because their bodies are filled with Fel energies. Maybe necromantic magic isn't Fel in nature but was created by that. They pretty much said that it was all about willpower.
It'd explain why the Broken can't and the Forsaken technically could. My guess is that they wanted to justify the game mechanic and didn't think of the Broken because they aren't a playable race (nor a skin of the Draenei currently.)Maybe.
