This looks like it will be worth seeing in the stickies. The stat weights alone made me learn the importance of a slow weapon.

I like it so far, sometimes it's hard for me to decide what weapons better. Maybe its just cause I'm not a math/numbers person. Although to be fair I do pretty good dps

If anyone knows of two or more weapons that people are having issues deciding with *coughedgeofruinmarrowstrike* let me know ill put them up.
Also this is aimed more at 5-10man normal in general where youre likely to have at least a 1.1x stat buff.
I can retool the weights, but I think its easier to just assume if a weapon is ahead by 5 or so "real" DPS, then its doubtful it will fall behind the next lower weapon.

I was having trouble deciding whether to grab
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50761
to replace my
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49498
. I don't need any of the hit from the Claymore, and that combined with the 3.4 speed caused me to just pass it to another guildie, but I'm wondering whether it is even worth picking up or if I should just wait on something better. Problem is, most of the other ICC weapons seem to be less than ideal as well.
Added.
Also note, this is going to include the hit. So if you cant arrange your gear so that the weapons meet their full power, youre usually going to want to skip ahead to 258. And even then if a weapon had a big chunk or exp, esp hit that youre not going to use its going to be a small upgrade. Better to arrange your gemming/other pieces.
The two weapons are almost identical if the +hit is irrelevant.

Excellent post Quest, a few more weapons and it will certainly be sticky-worthy. On that note, might I suggest
Quel'Delar
? I think quite a few people would like to see how it measures up compared to both the ICC10 drop you listed and the 245 Obsidian Edged Blade.
And also I would like to say thankyou, since you have just stopped me from farming the Tyranical Beheader for my offspec when I already have the Orca Hunter
Edit: I was gonna post this in the stat weightings thread, but I might as well put it here. Do you (or anyone else) know how the stat weightings might look if you are lucky enough to get the 2pc t10? I read somewhere that Elitistjerks saw it putting ArP above haste for us, due to DS spam.
Added.
With the DS thing, it all depends on the encounter. If its trash, then you may get the full extend of the 2p. If its a boss, then you may find yourself with double the DS spam-ability, and quite less in the area of available space in a rotation to use them all (GCD conflicts, keeping debuffs and dots up etc)). Therefor, even if they were to figure out the amount it improved ArP (and haste too in this case), its not going to be consistent and thus much of the improvement is theoretical and not practical.
If ArP creeps up close to agility then I wouldn't be surprised to see haste going to past AP.
GG Blizzard for making rogue gear even better for Paladins than it already was?
Edit:
Also ArP needs to be stacked to be anygood. If you have like 10% ArP, its going to be worth nothing, even with the the 2p. You need to have like 400 rating already

Shadowmourne is kind of the S H I T
50 gold!
Also that proc is an average of 180 str. I just dont know if it takes 10sec to stack or a min.

Someone needs to test if it procs off CS, DS, Judge, etc. 'Weapon swings' tends to mean auto attacks though, I thought.
Of course, however quickly it stacks the average strength given is going to be the same (hooray for averages). But if it procs off of most of our attacks that 2k damage might actually happen often enough to be very slightly useful. You'd also have to wonder if it's modified by AP, SP, or at all.
One thing I know for sure though, if it's modified by spellpower, we're going to become the stereotypical idiot melee class that always takes spellpower.
Edit: Of course all of this is sort of pointless since it'll be the best available (ha) weapon for ret regardless, but it would be nice to know by how much.

Eh? Why is the Citadel Enforcer's Claymore valued more than Quel'Delar? It seems the value of hit's a bit much considering there's so much hit on gear nowadays. Is it because of the yellow socket and even then shouldn't the gem of choice be strength and crit considering the 2 piece T9 bonus?
I'm just curious because I thought dps and damage of the weapon > most of the stats on it in comparison to others.(maybe except for crit if you lose a lot in switching to one with no crit.)

The hit caps are rated assuming you are not capped.
Ignore hit rating if you're capped.

Righteous Vengeance
When your Judgement, Crusader Strike and Divine Storm spells deal a critical strike, your target will take 30% additional damage over 8 sec.
Keep in mind that Judgement, Crusader Strike and Divine Storm spells are all each effected by hit, strength, ap, expertise, etc. If you CS and your 2p procs, your crits are going to look mighty low if you have low AP. Or if you DS, and miss, your 2p is going to sit there doing nothing anyway.
Amount of hit on other gear is irrelevant. The fact that hit being worth more than any other basic stat is. Ive supplied the numbers reguardless so you can factor it in yourself if you dont want to mess around with re-arranging gear.
Thats why gearing is fun (for me). Its a mathematical Tetris.
If I ever teach myself mathlab maybe ill do some analysis but thats alot of wrk, son.

I am going to assume the proc from Shadowmourne is the same as Bryntroll, so that is only affected by % damage auras (Ret Aura and Crusade) and magic debuffs (CoE).
Spell power does increase Ret's damage.
Until the stacking mechanic is known (if it stacks from auto only like 2 piece or from all melee stacks), it is hard to know. Rest assured it is at least 500 dps better than the next best (277 version of Bryntroll)
