It's also possible that the Draenei didn't name the islands. They've been around since the Sundering.

Well, who knows.... Perhaps the Blood Elves named it. Azuremyst has always been called Azuremyst, but the Draenei wouldn't have known that. Combines that with the red blood thing and all factors point to someone other than the Draenei being the official namer.

Probably a group of night elves (or maybe just one) coined the name after the mist turned blood red. Although I am not sure of its original name, I am pretty sure that Felwood wasn't always called such. Could be that the night elves don't want their good names on bad lands so they change them to fit the scenery.

After the leakage from the Sungate and the other parts of the ships, the water on the island is red, and it looks like all the toxins have infected the surrounding areas; pretty much everything there is red, like the blood of most of the Azerothian races.

Only
"most Azerothian races"
didn't name the island. The blue-blooded Draenei did.How do we know?
The Draenei didn't even speak common when they arrived here as far as we know, but Bloodmyst even shares the naming scheme of Azuremyst. By that indication, Bloodmyst was named by someone who knew the name of Azuremyst.
Could have been the blood elves or night elves. I doubt it was the draenei.

Aye, think about it; the only things on Draenor they actually named were the planet and their cities, they left everything else as the orc's already called it. More then likely, after all the taint and the rest, the Alliance forces renamed the Isle to Bloodmyst.

Honestly, I think it's just a mistake on Blizzard's part. Azuremyst and Bloodmyst were named by the Draenei, as Bloodmyst was originally Silvergale Isle. When they landed on Azuremyst, they had not encountered any other races (first encounter is with the injured night elf priestess and admiral odyseus).
Now, where did Silvergale Isle come from then? By the time you get to Bloodmyst, you have encountered outside races, and the part of the island where you hear the original name is the only part of the island that's not corrupted.
We know the Draenei named Bloodmyst Isle from the red mist and red crystals all over the place (just like Azuremyst has a blue mist). The Blood=red probably comes from the Draenei noticing that other creatures (orcs, elekks, talbuks, etc.) had red blood, while they had blue blood.
Of course, you could also argue that they named Bloodmyst because the Blood elves are there, and their main color is red. While in Azuremyst, there isn't a huge threat like that (you could say Naga I suppose), and since the main Draenei color is blue, then there you go.

They encountered the Orcs on Draenor. They have red blood.
I know. That's why I said this:
