Using cloth wrong?

Hi! I just got my shammy up to level 80 and I decided to stay elemental, no matter how much everyone wants me to be resto. Now, heres the problem, there is no good elemental gear that you can buy with emblems. I already got t 8.5 head and chest and everything else is from lvl 219 to 232.
Now I'm already hit capped, so all I need to do is get SP and haste. But there is no gear for elementals that got hit, haste and crit, just resto gear with mp5. And if I loose any hit, I'll go under the cap
I started to look for better gear, and I found some nice cloth gear that you can buy with emblems. So is it wrong to use cloth as elemental? I can't see any problems in it and now I want to know what others think. Cheers :)
ps. Do enha shammys really do more dps in the end game that elementals?

Cloth/ Leather in PvE is nothing to do with armour and everything to do with armour proficiency.

Nothing wrong with wearing cloth or leather for PvE
UNLESS
for some unknown reason you want to tank (which I high recommend you NOT do).
Elemental Shaman item-izing is still something which I want to complain to Blizzard about but meh, what can I do.
Just one thing, cloth and leather casting gear tends to have Spirit on them. If you have too much Spirit, there will be people who whisper you and say things like "Spirit sucks for Shamans why are you wearing it?" etc etc.
Nothing real bad about it, but can get annoying ;)

2Fang nailed the major issue with Leather and Cloth for Ele (and Resto too): Spirit. It does nothing for us, but is a solid stat for pretty much every other caster spec, so you'll see lots of it. You can find some gear without it, but if it comes down to finding an upgrade that has some Spirit, don't sweat it. An upgrade is an upgrade, and the Spirit isn't going to hamper you.
When rolling on Leather or Cloth when there are clothies or non-Feral druids around, it's probably best to let people know you plan on rolling, otherwise there could be drama. But if anyone is insisting you can't take non-Mail, they're being a little silly, as in pretty much any situation, an entirely Mail set is not going to be as good as one with some Cloth or Leather pieces.
