I already said that was God. God = The Good. Then everyone is Evil as no one is equal to God.
Everything is good to the extent that it participates in God. God = Being. Therefore I am good insofar as I have being. Same for a rock. Same for even Satan.
I'm also good insofar as I have charity, because God = Charity.
Etc. etc.

No it doesn't.
Yes it does. See what I did there? I disagreed without any explanation at all, as if my saying it somehow invalids you.
It's obvious and I'm sorry you can't see it.
Same directed to you. You can't just say that and be right. The difference is, I see that you can't do that, you don't.

Yes you can. I know what water is based on this standard I have in my mind. I don't need anything else
But good is an abstract idea while water is concrete. I can see water, I can't see good unless I have a proper understanding what it is.
Because we've been discussing
knowledge
for a while...which just so happens to exist in the mind. Not sure where you got lost.
In fact you're the one who got it started.

HiVolt
Saying God = Good, is essentially saying God = Nothing, if you don't understand what is not good.

Queggy: have you sinned since accepting God? I know I sure have. There's proof right there that neither of us have this new nature of which you speak.
Sorry, I went to bed, so late response!
Yes I have sinned, but that doesn't take my salvation away. Here's an analogy.
Just as the christian is encouraged to leave everything and take up the cross, so too did Peter abandon his previous life and follow Jesus. Later in life, Peter denied Jesus three times. Afterwords, Jesus
still forgave him
. Peter had sinned, but Jesus didn't tell Peter to go away and come back later, he welcomed him back!
The new nature as I few it is the nature of being free from the burden of sin. Yes we still sin, but the end result of sin will not affect us. And we are also better able to recognize sin for what it is and combat it due to the Holy Spirit.

Also about the evil , god created evil as a test to man. Otherwise , we would all go to heaven
And what's wrong with that?

. . .how does being Christian make you assured to go to heaven even if you do very bad things, . . .How does christianity , and I am asking main stream not personal opinions , handle this.
A Christian is assured Heaven if they
truly
believe in Jesus.
You can't just be like, "I believe in Jesus! Wewt, now when I die I will go to heaven! Let's go become suicide bombers because there won't be any repercussions!"
A true believer would try to live as blameless a life as they can. Most true believers would rather die than be the cause of another person's death. I for one would sacrifice myself if it meant saving one of you.

No you wouldn't.
Yes I would. Even for you. I would hope that whoever I died for (if they were unsaved) would be touched by my example of selfless giving and come to Christ.
So you mean to be a true believer you have to believe truly in Jesus and try not to sin?
And you haven't answered the question, in Christianity, if you are not Christian but are a good person, will you go to heaven? In Judaism , if you follow certain rules yes, in Islam if you have even one "atom" of good in you yes.
It doesn't matter if you're a good person or not. You get into heaven by believing. Most Christians are good people (due to our believes), but not all good people are Christians and you must be a believer to gain entry to Heaven.
