What is speculated that the 71 point Feral talent tree skill will be? I was thinking that because feral druids haven't gotten a new form, maybe Feralkin, or something like that, I do not remember the exact name

Oh, sorry about thinking 71 point, I was just looking at the level and how many points there would be
/doh
Thanks for the info, I may decide to level my druid now, looks to be interesting.

I don't think Dire Cat Form will be a realistic possibility as Blizz will want to do something that benefits both Cat and Bear Forms.

How about a literal hybrid form? Yeah, I'm talking about centaurs here!
Male druids -> Centaur
Female druids -> Dryad
A Centaur/Dryad will have control over the more physical aspects of nature maybe?
Like... crowd control, minion summoning, auras? It would be the druid Support Form!!!
They would have buffs that can only be cast on other players like bark-skin and other cool stuff :O
Come on support-form!

I dont see feral as needing to get improved CC, ranged DPS, or heals, for reasons stated above. Summoning doesn't fit into the melee mindset either. As to faster cheetah form, look at the big advantage travel form has over mounts: you CAN use it in combat. It would be really OP to be able to move 30-40% faster than anyone else in combat, unless they just stay mounted when attacked.
However, I do remember reading about an old talent which would make shifting cost incredibly less if done within 6 seconds, so maybe a talent that would decrease the cost of shifting by 14-70% if you shift within 6 seconds of leaving a form (note that with 30% from NS you get 100% reduction in cost). If that were high in the feral forms, it would give a nice reason to use it. This wouldn't be a 51-pointer, but a high level talent.
I think for a 51-point talent they should give the bear something to give added AoE threat on AoE pulls (maybe something which increases the amount of damage dealt by thorns by 400% for 6 seconds and causes a thorns aura to damage all enemies within 5 yards every second for the duration, on a 1-5 minute cooldown), and cat form should be given a powerful debuff to keep on the mob, maybe similar to the 30-point arms talents warriors have (not just MS, but the other one as well).

I gots an idea. How about feral moonfire? I never use that darn mana as a cat/bear anyway...unless I'm saving a raid with tranquility while DPSing. Yes, i'm kidding about the moonfire thing.

How about also adding in a talent for kitties that raises attack speed or does a stronger attack based on talents points that DOES NOT take all of your energy away. These would be similar to rogue's Slice and Dice and Evicerate.

I was thinking more along the lines of a healing debuff skill? (As if cats have enough skills, lol) A healing debuff could be a solution to the problems feral druids face in top tier arenas. Maybe like a passive chance (like 10% in cat, PPM bear) on hit in feral forms to infect the target with AIDS (probably not exactly..), giving them a chance to MISS a healing effect (aka the heal never reaches them).
Rabies!!! That's it!

What I'd like to see is a 51 point dire cat form increasing our pvp survivability via armor/resists. Really, that's the only thing holding us back in pvp right now - classes like warriors and rogues have far greater survivability via class abilities. In bear form we dont have spamstring or mortal strike, and we dont have the damage output of a MS warrior to make bear form good enough for sole use in pvp. In cat form, we dont have poisons, stuns, or interrupts to keep us alive while we do damage like rogues do.
We're copies of those two classes in each form without the abilities that make those two classes excel in pvp. We're protection warriors in bear form, and Assassination rogues (that never trained their skills) in cat form.
It's not likely we'll recieve any stuns or crowd control effects or interrupt abilities for either cat or bear, beyond what we currently have. The only way to improve our pvp viability other than that is to give us something that allows us to use our forms more effectively. Since bear is a survivability form and does quite well at staying alive under pressure, I highly doubt they'll give it any additional damage output. Cat form, on the other hand, doesnt do any more damage than a rogue or MS warrior in pvp (burst damage, at least), and doesnt have their abilities which keep them alive, so i can fully see a buff to cat form's pvp survivability improving feral pvp far more than any other change.
More armor and some passive spell resistance on a dire cat form would be all that we'd need.
The problem with that is that the skills you described as belonging to Rogues and Warriors are what make Rogues and Warriors unique!
We're a hybrid class without specializing in any one role, that's what makes US unique.
Heck, even if they DID give us the abilities that make warriors and rogues what they are in PvP then they would already be outdone by the new Rogue and Warrior 51 pt. Talents!
