Well, ive kinda "retired" as a DK, I still play a little bit, but I just wanted to know other people "rotations" look like.
Heres my spec, it probably looks like every other DK out there, but incase new DK's need some help with a decent DPS spec, feel free to use/make variation of this.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfVMVh0Isfof0stMZfMh0xc
Key:
IT= Icy Touch
PS= Plague Strike
HS=Heart Strike
DS=Death Strike
OB= Obliterate
DC= Death Coil
So how I fight...
IT,PS,HSx2,DS,DC,HSx2,DS,OB,DC rinse and repeat...
I have the
so thats why i use DS in there.
Keep in mind that this is for blood spec, but i guess your could use blood strike or w/e its called in place of heart strike, and plague strike in place of death strike and obliterate.
P.S This is the first time ive made something on the forums, so i havn't figured out how to use the link things, so if you mouse over the "e" in "the" in the first sentance after the rotation, it has the link to the glyph.

Death strike glyphed and talented does alot more damage then just using blood strike and plague strike altogether. Also death strike produces death runes which help you out to put out more heart strikes. A typical blood rotation
IT,PS,DS,HSx2,DC,HSx4,DC rinse and repeat.....
this leaves no down time for the most part and make effective use of runes, note some poeple have different rotations i'm just saying this is a typical rotation
As for the posters above me comment about obliterate. In a blood spec rotation take obliterate off your bars its not needed.

I get around 7k dps with this build and rotation.
51/0/20
In Blood Presence.
Start off with
Icy Touch
, then a
Plague Strike
, then once my Diseases are up go for a
Death Strike
to get my Death Runes ticking. Then two
Heart Strikes
.
Horn of Winter
for 10 more runic power and by now I should have 60 runic power. Pop
Hysteria
,
Dancing Rune Weapon
,
Trinkets
/
Potions
then release your
Ghoul
. Make sure you do this all in one Global CoolDown. After you got your buffs slap down a
Death Strike
and FOUR
Heart Strikes
Followed by a
Death Coil
.
Thats your basic rotation, Repeat this (without the
Hysteria
,
Dancing Rune Weapon
,
Trinkets
/
Potions
and replace your
Dancing Rune Weapon
with a
Death Coil
as well as following your last four
Heart Strikes
use two
Death Coils
for huge dps.
Drop an Army of the Dead when its ideal, ex: Start of the fight for Onyxia, Heart Phase for XT, Don't on Anub. Right as soon as Icehowl appears for a
HUGE
boost in dps.
Drop your cooldowns (
Hysteria
,
Dancing Rune Weapon
,
Trinkets
/
Potions
) as soon as they come off their cooldown as the rotation is perfectly designed to allow you to drop CDs at ideal times. If you happen to be an
Engineer
use
Hyperspeed Accelerators
right before you throw your first
Icy Touch
.
TL;DR
Icy Touch
>
Plague Strike
>
Death Strike
>
Heart Strike
>
Heart Strike
>
Hysteria
,
Dancing Rune Weapon
,
Trinkets
/
Potions
>
Death Strike
>
Heart Strike
>
Heart Strike
>
Heart Strike
>
Death Coil
>
Heart Strike
>#
Icy Touch
>
Plague Strike
>
Death Strike
>
Heart Strike
>
Heart Strike
>
Death Coil
>
Death Coil
.
*The above is two rotations. Repeat from # onward.
10/10 for effort
0/10 for usefull. thought it was common knowledge by now that you have to refresh your diseases when you pop DRW as they use their own diseases and if you don't put them up, the dmg is severly hampered. therefor you're better off going for
it>ps>hs>hs>ds>rp dump>hysteria/trinkets/potions>DRW>it>ps>hs>hs>hs>hs>ERW>ds>hs>hs>ds>rp dump
but always first thing you do when you use DRW is it>ps even if you use Godisease

Sir, I acknowledge that DRW can apply its own diseases.
But its damage is based completely of yours, meaning it does exactly have of your damage as its own.
Cite your source. Nowhere does it say DRW deals "half of your damage." I'd like to know where you got this.
If you were to add diseases with DRW, you would be wasting cooldowns, runes and time with DRW as the applied diseases do not increase the damage of DRW beyond the normal DoT dmg (which ends as soon as DRW ends).and would be better put to use continuing the given rotation for maximized potential dps.
I apologize you were misinformed.
DRW's HSs are, in fact, increased by it having its own diseases on the target. This can be proven through a simple test at your local dummy.
As well as the potions/trinkets only last a short period of time, using them before would cause a dps loss (mind you a small one).
How does using a potion/trinket/Hysteria cause a DPS loss exactly? They all increase a stat or make you hit harder. I fail to see the DPS loss unless you're stupid about timing and just blow the CDs/consumables willy-nilly.

Sir, I acknowledge that DRW can apply its own diseases.
But its damage is based completely of yours, meaning it does exactly have of your damage as its own.
ie: You apply 2 diseases and hit your target with a
Heart Strike
it does 8k dmg, with DRW on it does 8k dmg + 4k dmg (half of 8k).
Also the matter of which order to cast trinkets/potions/hysteria and DRW is immaterial as the potions/trinkets/hysteria increase your dmg and that DRW is based relative to your dmg, as you cannot buff your DRW beyond what you buff yourself.
As well as the potions/trinkets only last a short period of time, using them before would cause a dps loss (mind you a small one).
DRW uses his own diseases to calculate his dmg tyvm.
as to your pot/trinket argument i just type it like that, as DRW is only thing on GCD you can use em simultanious, hell can make it one big macro if you like

Now the thing I don't understand is, does it mean that all 4 diseases count towards your HS and DRW's HS? for a whooping 40% bonus for HS?
I'm not entirely sure of the mechanics, but whenever it happens that I reapply IT and PS after DRW my dps is about 300-500 more. So, I'll stick with reapplying IT and PS after DRW.
No, other people's diseases do not count towards your strikes. Otherwise, people would stack DKs and Shadow Priests to blow the hell out of raids.
That being said, you are using DRW correctly. Hit a dummy to test if you are having doubts.
