Issues w/ Threat

Until recently I haven't really ever had issues w/ holding threat. But over the past week or so I've started having lots of issues. I think my main problem is I'm no longer hit capped, and after looking at enchants I can get vs what I have I'm not too hopeful about getting back to hit cap w/o swapping out some armor pieces, which I would like to avoid doing.
My main question is what can I do talent / gem / glyph wise to increase my TPS? I tried reading over the
Matlab TPS
but went cross eyed about 4 graphs in.
I switch between OT & MT depending on who shows up, hence some of the point choices. Also I know my gloves are not enchanted nor do they have a BS socket yet, I got them last night before logging off & will be doing that tonight when I get off work.
Thanks for any helpful advice.

First off, have you read the stickies? There's some good information about maximizing threat by getting your rotation down. Being hit capped is not important at all for prot paladins. You're armory's showing you with 197 hit and that should be fine.
Glyph of Hammer of the Righteous is pretty useless, unless you like tanking four bosses at once. Get yourself glyph of Judgment or some other threat glyph instead of that one.
Other than that have you started raiding with drastically better DPS suddenly?
Getting gear with block value on it might make ShoR hit a bit harder. I notice you only have one piece beside your shield with block value on it.
About that last tip, make a note that I said block value and not block rating.

Yes I have read the stickes( also on, EJ & Maintankadin)... notice how I linked to a thread on threat as though I've done my homework ;-) Yes I use the 969 rotation when tanking, except for when I first pull or weave in HoW.
It isn't useless when you are OT & trying to hold aggro on more than 3 things at a time like Worms, Whelps, misc trash pulls.
But since it was mentioned, what glyph would you trade it out for?
Yes & No, Some of them have gotten upgrades over the past couple weeks, and some of the PUGs I've done I have been far outclassed by some of the DPS. It is really only a few people who tend to be well ahead of the rest of the group on DPS (ie 500-1000 points ahead of the group average.)

Ah, notice how I didn't read that link the first time, I'll stop wasting time discussing the benefits of 96969.
There's two TPS glyphs you can trade GoHotR for: Glyph of AS and Glyph of Judgment. The thread you linked seems to suggest AS will give a higher TPS increase on single target fights, but if you're desperate for more AoE threat Judgment wouldn't negatively affect that.
Your argument about the usefulness of GoHotR: I don't care about random trash pulls. Your healers won't care about random trash pulls. Your guild leader/raid leaders won't care about random trash pulls. No one cares about random trash pulls. I'll grant that there are definitely times during some fights that actually count where a four target HotR could come in handy but it will, on average, help your TPS on fights anyone actually cares about less than the AS and Judgment glyphs, which will be more consistently useful when tanking bosses.
Do you find you have trouble with AoE, single target, or both? That sort of decides which glyph you replace HotR with, which should hopefully lighten up your threat problems. Getting your hands on a higher ilvl weapon would help as well.

Actually a better first question would be, what are you losing threat on? Multiple mobs, adds, or single target bosses?
Oops, pezz asked that. Never mind me ^^

Eh, buried in an edit at the bottom of my second post. It would've been a good
first
question, indeed, but oh well.

It is mostly single target, large groups I tend to be fine, but on single target I have issues sometimes.

I have thought about both of those, I have had mana problems, but have learned to manage my mana better when OT so it may be time to pull that point & see how things go.
I considered the plating when I got the shield, but that was a few upgrades ago so that may be something I should look at again.
I have also considered swapping a few gems, like the one in my weapon, but the cost of a new gem, esp when hoping to soon replace the piece it's gonna go in seems like a last resort.
Thanks for the ideas, keep em coming please.

Just checked your armory. HIt isn't the issue - I would have thought being under the Expertise soft-cap would be worse?
I believe that Expertise is better than Hit up to 26, being the removal of Dodge from your hit table. Just a thought.

With the Glyphed SoV my Expertise is 27, and since I have that up 100% of the time in a raid I don't think expertise is a problem.
My TPS depends on the fight so that is a very broad question, I don't honestly know what it has been each time I've had issues. It ranges from 2k-6k I suppose depending on what fight you're looking at.
Head piece is next on my list of badge items ;-)
