You guys are the ones who need to drop it.
Seeing as how she admitted that Sylvanas wants to eliminate the Humanity, not to mentio the corpses seen in The Battle for Undercity, were apperently, Alliance citizens, I would say they take a huge slap at them the most.
And no, enough with this "She meant no harm, those were Putress' and Varimathris' guys" crap. In RotLK, Sylvanas is telling the apothecarys to work harder and faster, and takes a deep satisfaction from every test that passes. She even goes hyiscrical laughing when the humans die.
They were humans from Silverpine and Tirisfal, making it most likely to be Scarlet Crusaders darkton.
In RotLK, Sylvanas is telling the apothecarys to work harder and faster, and takes a deep satisfaction from every test that passes. She even goes hyiscrical laughing when the humans die.
Isn't she laughing because the plague is working or something?
na leave it dude, this has nothing to do with this thread.
I merely named sylvannas to make a comparison, on how someone can be both a jerk to others and a revered leader among his or her own kin.
genn is a jerk, a tottal ass, hated by several, as he's worst than garithos, why?
garithos hated non-humans but at least he never berated other humans
Genn hates non-humans and he even hates other humans who are non-gilneans.
just because genn is nice to his own people (the worgen players and gilnean NPC's) doesn't mean he's gonna be a nice guy.
all and I mean ALL existing lore about him points him as a tottal jerk.
untill proven otherwise by new fresh lore from cataclysm or retcons galore from a new blizz book from kanaak, he remains a jerk.
I named sylvannas because she resembles genn in a few ways.
both are unquestionably mean, jerks in all the expresion of the word, but both have an intense love for their own people.
after all if the forsaken revere sylvannas so much then it must be because she treats them well.
that is all.

On the subject of Cairne, the Alliance will be
destroying
Camp Taurajo and claiming southern Barrens, with the Tauren building a
wall
to defend Mulgore. Plenty of ways for him to disappear in that fight.
Also, Blizzard ought to do something with Lor'Themar. Most people don't even know who he is (which is also why killing him would be silly - no one cares).

Blizzard has said that the other faction leaders will be doing more in Cata.

already loth'emar get's a little love (just a wee little bit) on patch 3.3
the quest-chain for quel'delar has you traveling to a phased quel'danas island, where silvermoon has full controll of the place, no sunfury elves, no demons no nothing, all order, and we enter a phased version of the sunwell instance, were we see that silvermoon has finnaly reclaimed the sunwell.
inside they were nice enough to let high-elves travel to the sunwell and sate their thirst.
on the same room lady Liandrin is giving a rather inspiring speech to a bunch of blood-elves and high-elves.
and near the well itself, loth'emar himself, he greets alliance and horde players alike to hte sunwell for the purification of the sword.
his role on the quest is rather minor (and rather amusing on the alliance version of the same quest) but it's at least something.
now a leader that is so absent he's almost non-existant is gelbin mettatorke (
midget
Gnome king)
he's so non-existant that on my alliance alt, I once said on trade "horde players will be forming an invation, they are gonna kill velen and gelbin"
the answer of 99% of the players who cared "who the hell is gelbin"?
blizz said that no leader will be a lazy bum sitting/standing on their capital stronghold, and that all will roll up their sleeves and get to work.
the one that will be doing most of the work saving azeroth is Thrall himself, he's gonna be so dedicated to this task that he humbly steps down from his position as warchief just so that he can be where he is needed the most (talk about true dedication)
getting back on topic,, I still have my suspicions with the way blizz will make garrosh more likeable.
not that i think they can't doit, they made the game if they wanted to they can also make us love anything and anyone, but rather how i think they will pull it off.
you see, I find it extremely suspicious that on ICC there are 3 alliance representatives (varian, jaina, muradin) but only 1 horde representative (the man himself, saurfang, mister awesomeness in the flesh)
is it odd that neither thrall or garrosh are there?
maybe MAYBE (AKA, speculation, this could be true, or false) blizz is keeping thrall's and garrohs's involvement on ICC a high secret.
maybe its there where garrosh will prove he's not a tottal !@#$%^bag, just as varian did exactly the same on this instance.
I dunno, call it a fleeting hope, but it's really anti-climatic for me that on the final battle against the lich king, there are so many alliance heroes, but only 1 horde hero.
they kept "Warchief Garrosh" as a secret and didn't announced it publicly (in fact the cataclysm official site still refers to thrall as warchief and garrosh as overlord)
so maybe they want to keep garrosh's involvement in ICC a secret as well, who's with me?
if Jaina was allowed to be in the 5man and on the raid, then why isn't sylvannas granted the same honor? she's among the people who have the most right to be there when the lich king dies considering what he did to her.
and as for thrall and garrosh being there, well they are the highest echelons of horde leadership, it would speak poorly of the horde's comitment if they are not present and rather sent only 1 representative there :S
I Don't know what's the deal with blizz and all this ally-love and horde-hate they have going on, but they better shape up and treat both sides equally, cuz this is smelling rotten to me.

Garrosh is there somewhere. I'm pretty sure he gives you a buff when you're in there. Varian does the same for the Alliance.
There a remaining 1/4 or so of the instance that we can only guess at (the Lich King fight, Bolvar/Lavaman, all that), and I wouldn't be surprised if Garrosh and/or Sylvanas show up during/after that last bit.
I'm certain that they're gonna be doing something. After making so many people hate him, they're not going to be able to make players love him in just the pre-Cata event and books.

awwwww =(
I wanted thrall to buff us.
on UC we are empowered by him because he's a shaman he can easily call upon the spirits to grant us their strenght.
but on garrosh............. what? he's a fury specced warrior (just like varian is) and we're suposed to see him fight and feel inspired by him to fight better?
I am NOT inspired by him, not yet anyways, and I'd much rather have thrall as my backup than this brown piece of crap (and yhea, that works both ways xD)

=( I don't want cairne to die T_T (shaking angry fist at blizzard)
I hope they kill an alliance leader too at some point in the future.
since bolvar wasn't really killed only tortured and well ya know...... the whole DK thing.
also I'm amazed that nobody has considered the posibilty of mag'tha grimtotem playing a large part on cairne's death.
we know she's the varimathra's of thunder bluff.
its' just a matter of time really

Whats going to happen to everything that you could do on Quel'Danas?Probably gonna stay. Quel'delar and all.

Whats going to happen to everything that you could do on Quel'Danas?
well, you can still doit (on 3.3 patch you can still do the daylies on quel'danas, as well as the 1-time only quests)
but when you do the new 5man's (namely Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of reflection) on heroic, there is a small % chance from every mob and boss that an item will drop.
that item is the "Battered Hilt"
when you use it, you start the quest chain of quel'delar, the mytic blade, that aparently is good for all classes exept tanks (yhea this includes HUNTERS O_O)
when you start this chain, then the entire island of quel'danas is phased. so you can'r really do any quests there, you see that the entire island is under silvermoon controll.
however the blood-elves have been kind to their high-elven brothers and allow them access to the well, just not a permament living on silvermoon or the island.
the quest is fairly long, but not hard at all, no grinds required, and can be soloed almost completely save for 3 bits that require you to do the 3 new 5man instances.
when you finish the quest though, the phasing is lifted, and you can once more return to the "old" quel'danas, the one with the whole shattered sun, the kael'tas blood-elves, the demons, naga, and the whole shebang.
the island is phased only during the quest, and while by game-play mechanic the phasing is lifted, from a lore prespective, Quel'danas is once more under silvermoon controll, with regulated visits from the high-elves.
(maybe there is hope for peace between the alliance and horde after all)
on cataclysm however expect this to be changed, most likely on cataclysm quel'danas will be permanently changed to show it's new status as a silvermoon property, as well as the sunwell being the new fountain of hope and salvation for azeroth. (and I say silvermoon property because on the quel'delar quest-chain there's only silvermoon honorguard and blood-elven armed forces in the entire island as well as in the sunwell itself.
the only high-elves are civilians, and 1 high-elven ranger who represent the race as a whole.
getting to the sunwell on that quest is really cool, you know filled with plp to the top, lady liandrin giving a moving speech about the light to blood-elf and high-elf pilgrims. and of course tons of high-elves and blood-elves who come to the island to get their fix.
magic crack if you will xD
