Actually if you have a proper device you don't even have to spend 6 bucks.
I know plenty of people in game that has had their account hacked multiple times even though they didn't fall for a single "obvious" trick.
Personally having an authenticator the only way they can hack your account would be. Get a hold of your authenticator device+username+password.

I answered your question on how you can get hacked once you get one. It generates a random number every 30 seconds which means they basically have to have your authenticating device to hack your account.
Is it possible to still be hacked obviously yes but its the closest you can get to a 100% unhackable account. But if that's not enough info call up Blizz and ask them what the real figures are on hacked accounts with an authenticator on them.

It's HIJACKED. No one hacks WoW accounts.
Anyhow, if someone has your account name and password for some stupid reason, the $6 authenticator provides a 1 in 1,000,000 chance that someone can steal your account. Six digits means any number between 000000 and 999999.
If you have the free iPhone authenticator app, that's eight digits. That's a 1 in 100,000,000 chance that you can get your account stolen if the thief has your account information.
If you have basic Internet security common sense, the above numbers are even more in your favor. Best damn $6 I ever spent. For the price, there is absolutely NO reason to NOT have one!
Edit: There's always the matter of social engineering. A good social engineer can get your authenticator removed from your account with only a few basic pieces of knowledge about you. No, the authenticator isn't 100%, but it's as close as you can get.
My captcha is 4joe4. How's it know my name?
