Should I go LW for +102 stam buff on my Priest?

I'm going to try to get a priest to 80 without dying so I'm looking for the best choices to keep him from dying. The +102 stamina buff you get for bracers from Leatherworking looks tasty to me. Should I take up this profession, or are there other professions that will yield better results at level 65?

what does a priest need additional stamina for?
If you're interested in improving your character through professions, you should consider something that is more useful for priests. Like
Tailoring
,
Jewelcrafting
, even
Skinning
.

OscarDivine, he is trying to get to 80 without dying; this means survivability is a must.
While I don't know much about professions, good luck.

Either way, my point is that if you're going to consider 102 static stamina over increased spell power for survivability, I don't think it's as clear cut as you might think. You SHOULD be Bubbling and HEALING yourself, which means the overall benefits to your survivability would be increased with more spell power. BUT, even with Jewelcrafting, you do get
Solid Dragon's Eyes
which can add up to a large amount of stamina gained as well and they are more easily obtained, cheaper, and maintained than the epic gems for 30 stam.
Regardless, ticking a renew on yourself during difficult situations can be quite useful, SP helps. It also allows you to kill mobs faster, which means, they have less time to kill YOU.

There are good stam enchants (and armory patches) you should consider. Remember, your need is temporary, so you should probably refrain from choosing a profession just for this purpose. Pick a profession you'll be happy with for the long haul. LW is actually quite good long-term as well, but you can get by for now just with enchants.

Even in PVP, you don't want to enchant for stamina when you have a spell power option. Likewise, don't use Leatherworking for Stam buff in PVE either.

I dont die due to low stamina ( well BG's i die to being a priest as that attracts all DK's and Pally's to u ) but by bad pulling ;)
Im Shadow for PvE Questing and DPS dungeons (disc for healing) and lvl 66.I solo'd those 2 and 3 player group quests with ease. (cept overlord quest)
Shield > Renew > Shadow form > Nuke > re-shield > if Possible Fear > Mind flay to prevent him to walk in other group of mobs.
Those rock giant in Hellfire Peninsula can be challenging @ 64 (lvl i solo'd them) look for surrounding Mobs to make sure Fear dont pull, use fear when there a 2 spawns. Mind Flay the elite to death and DoT the spawns, were squishy but have alot of ways to prevent death. Heal up and take on the next.
Key to survival Pre Shielding and SP helps a lot with it. Pre Shield is ur 102 stam buff so to speak ;)

Leatherworking sounds like a solid choice though. 102 stamina is a nice start for leveling AND for initial PvPing, and when you don't need it anymore, there's a Spellpower version. Lifeblood eventually outdates; it isn't that useful for raids and increased spellpower will almost always favour you most through an arena fight.
