Hey all,
I have a few questions about main tank healing as a Disc priest. First is my spec correct for main tank healing in all raids above OS 25. secondly, I am new to the whole disc scene, I am used to holy healing since i was lv 25. For heroics I find myself missing the AoE heals from holy from time to time, but love the mitigation from disc., my question is as main tank healer should I spamming bubbles on everone and everybody if time permitts or should I stay soley on main tank. or on fights like Onyxia should I respec holy to cast CoH because of the raid wide dmg that can occur.
Here is my armory link, answers to these questions or any other info you would like to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you cant rebuff shield because your tank have got a "better shield" on him already (aka the boss cant hit trough your DA) you should bubble raid. If not, Keep stacking that DA. If you see that it's needed because the others healers cant keep up, yes please do help your raid (if you dont have any problems with keeping tank up) but if they're doing fine, just keep stacking that DA. Try to get it to the cap between every hit (10k = ~30k Crithealing)
EDIT: spec, you should decide, do you want to use greater heal or not?
if not: put those points from Divine fury into spellwarding or healing focus (picking up desperate prayer is also nice, it helps some times)
if yes: max divine fury and if you feel that you need that extra mana, put some points into imp healing aswell (or respec holy :k)

Change thRemove the points in divine fury, move them to desperate prayer and healing focus.
^ This.
2/2 Healing Focus is important, as combined with Concentration Aura it will provide 100% pushback immunity while casting any healing spell. This is huge, because if you took damage while casting Penance, you'd miss a tick or two, or if you got hit while casting Flash Heal then you might not land that heal in time. As a tank healer, it's
your duty
to make sure your heals don't get interrupted so the tank doesn't die.
Desperate Prayer is great, and you should use it in one of those "Oh no!" moments, like if other healers are neglecting to keep you up if you have Legion Flames or if you're getting train-wrecked in Faction Champs. Macro it with Inner Focus for a free, instant cast self-heal with a huge chance of critting (usually crits for over 10k). This is
very important
because if you die, your tank(s) will probably not be far behind.
In 5-mans
I have not found myself missing CoH since respeccing Disc at the beginning of
Wrath
. If your group is taking damage, toss them some shields, throw a hasted Penance back at the tank, and sprinkle your friends with Flash Heals until Penance is back off cooldown and throw it back on the tank again. Getting that 3-stack of Grace on the tank as fast as possible should be on your mind. Placing ProM and Penance on your action bars so you can monitor when they're off cooldown might be a good idea, so you know how many flash heals or shields you can sprinkle on your group before throwing another hasted Penance at the tank.
In 25-mans
In a 25-man raid situation your primary concerns should be keeping Weakened Soul on the tanks (both of them), focusing your heals on the main tank and let another healer take the reigns on the offtank. Since you have 3/3 Improved Renew, keeping renew on the MT and OT will help when you know there's going to be huge spike damage (Gormok's Impale) or moments when you know you won't be able to heal for a few seconds (Icehowl's Massive Crash, Onyxia's fear).
Throw shields and/or a Prayer of Mending on any raid members who are taking damage, but most of the time you won't have to worry about throwing Flash Heals on them, as your druids or resto shamans will probably be on raid heal duty.
If you're using Grid or any other unitframe mod which highlights players who have aggro, you can throw preventative shields on raid members, tanks, or healers who you think might take damage from adds which have yet to be picked up. This will come in handy more often than you might know.
Other handy tips
Keep your "Oh no!" spells on your action bar, and bind your heals to mouseover macros (or use Clique). Most of my healing spells are bound to mouse clicks via Clique, and my action bar consists of:
1- Pain Suppression
2- Inner Focus / Desperate Prayer macro
3- Power Infusion
Inner Focus / Desperate Prayer macro, to keep you alive:
/cast Inner Focus
/cast Desperate Prayer
