Righto, i THINK i got the right idea at the moment, but i wanna be sure if anything needs to be tweaked.
Ive only done arena as boomy with a holy pally (smashed em, till partner xfered).
i just wanna do a 2v2 atm, still dont have a partner (which class would you suggest?).
Currently this is the gear i have
(still some boomy stuff there, but will be replaced soon). (got +23 sp on each ring aswell)
Also can u check the talents to see if ive got em in the right place? :)
any suggestions on what i should replace (gems, enchants, meta gem etc)?
thanks :)

Your gearing/gemming is fine, except:
- You NEED 4 - 6% +hit (160 ish) in order to prevent Cyclones/Roots missing. 4% will cover many situations, 6% covers all Racials that provide a % to be missed chance (Nelfs, Taurens, Belfs). The easiest way to do this is by wearing the Ascendancy versions of the PvP Neck, Cloak, Ring. If you are miles off, using a PvE +hit trinket it not a bad idea untill you have the hit you need on PvP gear. +hit gems are also an option.
- You NEED 75 Spell Penetration to prevent MotW (75 all resistances when talented) causing your Cyclones/Roots to be resisted. You can get this by either filling 3 blue sockets with +25 Spell Pen gems, or using gems in conjunction with the +35 Spell Pen cloak enchant. With no spell pen at all ~15% of your Cyclones will resist on targets with MotW and it won't be long before you notice yourself losing games to this nasty piece of RNG.
Viable Partners:
Resto and Arms Warrior
Resto and Unholy DK
Resto and Mut/Prep Rogue
Resto and Warlock (Affliction or Destruction)
Resto and Retri Pally
For all these comps, the
Insect Swarm Spec
* is the most common, except for some reason Resto and Retri Pally, where
Deep Resto
* seems to be the favourite. I got no idea why that is as I've never played with a Retri in 2s. Presumably it is a highly defensive attrition style comp.
* - these specs are not gospel. A couple of points can be shifted around for preference

I am starting to start to pvp (resto) more and hope to start a 2v2 team with a warlock I know. Can anyway give any strategy tips in general for this endeavor. Also strategies for 2's with a lock partner would be awesome as well.
Unfortunately warlocks are the one class I could never bring myself to play so I don't know them that well.
as far as ive seen when i use to come across resto druids during my boomkin arena times. they would always hot up their friend and go out of LoS till they needed more hots. keeping a distance away from their enemy.

This is a good place to start. Druids have the unique ability to maintain very high throughput without being in line-of-sight.
LOS abuse is a druid's greatest strength. Harry the enemy while being hard to reach - pop your head out to refresh hots, cyclone, root everybody, and hide as often as possible.
If they're focusing you, kite. If they aren't focusing you, be a nuisance - cyclone, root, dot, Faerie Fire, bear bash (appropriately - don't make it too easy for them to get ahold of you).
Also: I hate the Ring of Valor.
