Your opener:
Gar, HfB, SnD, Mut, Env, Mut mut, rup. Keeping rupture and HfB up, snd too through env.
Don't think you always need 5 combo points. Two muts is the most you should be doing between finishers, as that would be a wasted combo point if the third one crit.
As far as energy pools, your white attacks actually make up a considerable amount of your DPS...perhaps not the majority (not sure), but don't think its just weaksauce. Always DPS from behind/side but I'm sure you knew that already.

It's ok if rupture comes down for a second, but it's important that SnD and HfB stay up at all times. I typically do a 4 point SnD so I know I have plenty of time to envenom at 5 CP.
Normally, what I find, is that I can get two 5 point envenoms before refreshing my ruptures pretty consistantly. Rupture will only be down for about 2-3 seconds this way. Try not to clip your HfB either. Don't refresh that with more than 5 or 10 seconds, 5 being the best. This will make the best use of your energy.

Contrary to this
sticky
, you have a
fast
main hand.
that's not fast for a main hand. you're not going to get slower than 1.8 in a dagger.

Pooling has become beneficial again for mutilate after they made envenom leave a poison application buff. Of course there are still some situations where you shouldn't pool, like burn phases.

Zao, energy pooling generally refers to the intentional act of regenerating energy to a point above what is neccessary for an attack.
For example, back when HfB was a 3 stack buff that cost 30 energy to apply per stack it was advised to use your abilities when you had the energy for them +30 so that you would always have enough energy to apply HfB when it was about to run out. So a mutilate that cost 60 energy would be used at 90 energy, or an envenom that cost 35 energy would be used at 65 energy. That additional time regenerating energy beyond 60 or 35 is considered pooling.
Imho as long as you aren't capping your energy (letting your energy bar reach 100) then you aren't going to gimp your dps whether or not you pool. Although pooling can allow you to use your abilites in strings seperated only by the global cool down which can provide a small amount of burst.
