...had a pretty awesome time-travel paradox thingy.
If any of you watched it, did you get it? It took me a bout 5 minutes after the show to get it....I jumped up and was like OMFG...it all made sense.

I actually saw that coming once they threw the Kino through the gate and it went out the other side.
I mean, its not the first time they've done that sort of story before.
Overall, I liked the episode though, it seemed like a step towards the success SG-1 had- now they're no longer low on supplies, power, whatever, and the writers can focus on how they have to deal with all the alien creatures and environments they travel to.

See, that's not it. There is something much deeper, and it explains why the snake-thing's venom worked against the bacteria.

Yes. I get it, the ship took them there, it knew that it could cure them, they are being guided so that they can eventually reach Ascension (possibly by an Ancient that is controlling the ship?), etc. etc.

Rush was the first to enter the unstable worm-hole. He was also infected with the bacteria. The bacteria is now on the planet much earlier, and it infects the snake-things which presumably then build up an immunity to it--seeing as it didn't kill them all off in the new time-line. So then the future snake-things can now provide an antibiotic.
They saved themselves without realizing it.

Ah.
That makes sense.

Or another theory is that Rush went so far back in time that the bacteria actually evolved into the snake-things (they grew while on the ship at a very fast rate). I'm just not sure if an antibiotic that would affect its ancestors would exist that far down the evolutionary line.
