Hi guys,
please don't call me noob for asking this, i did check the helpful threats bit and i still wanted to ask the macro buffs on here. I just wanted to ask if anyone knows a way to make macros that will trigger a /e, /s or /y when a proc happens from talents.
Thanks in advance for all the answers. =)

Get an addon like EventAlert.

i have EventAlert, i'd just rather not have to use it

Well, macros won't be able to do it without some complicated scripting, if at all. If you don't like EventAlert then you probably ought to search for another similar addon.

I just want to know if its possible with macros and how to do it. I don't really want to have to use any addon. And i don't mind sophisticated scripting.

There's no way a macro can make something happen on a proc. It makes something happen on a key press etc.
A macro isn't running in the "background" like an addon might be, it happens when you press the key it's assigned to and that's it.
If you could make the macro speak on a proc, you could make it use a skill on a proc, which would be having the game auto-played.
Well, yes and no. You can bind to in-game events in macros and you can access the SendChatMessage API in script whereas you can't access the CastSpellByName API in script.
Honestly, though, what they said is right. It's not a question of whether or not you mind sophisticated scripts; a macro is just the wrong place to be executing some incredibly dense /run command to create a function bound to an event with logic to determine if the thing that just happened is the thing you want to respond to. It also has a high chance of not fitting into a single macro.
However! If this is the kind of thing you want to do, instead of just using the addons that exist for that very purpose, I would suggest you look at an addon called Hack. It allows you to run little code snips of arbitrary length either when you say to or automatically when the addon loads. With this you could set up a bit of code that would do what you want without the constraints of a macro.

Thankyou very much for all the help guys =)

Would be easier to just write your own custom mini-addon. Due to the 255 character limit, you just can't design functions, link them to events, etc efficiently in macros.

Hence my suggestion for him to check out Hack.
