(TL,DR): What class/spec is the best at killing overpowered Resto Druids?
--
At this point I have played many different classes in PvP at level 80. (Including my live 80s and PTR characters.) On every class that I've played, Resto Druids strike me as so ridiculously overpowered that it practically ruins PvP when they're around.
The place where this is most obvious is in 2v2 arenas. (Though this is by no means the only area they excel, as some Resto Druid apologists would have you think. It's just the place where they're exceptionally overpowered.) I'm pretty much always playing a DPS class, but the story is always the same: the Druid's health and mana stay above 90% without him ever needing to stand still and cast a spell.
Nothing but instants, unsnarable, immune to Polymorph and Hex - well, I don't need to go into all the details.
I'm just wondering what class and spec out there is actually succeeding at dropping Resto Druids on a regular basis?
--
On my Ele Shaman I can possibly get them below 50%, but if they can LoS me it doesn't matter. Even if they can't - immunity to Hex, practical immunity to Purge, just enough burst healing to counter me. The only chance is if the Shaman outgears the Druid.
On my Disc Priest it's pretty much essential that I Mana Burn if I want to have a chance. Problem is that requires LoS, while his HoTs don't. These matches turn into a totally un-fun cat and mouse game centered around the pillars, with my only chance to cast during the few seconds after I manage to land a fear.
On my Mage I may have the best chance, simply due to Counterspell. If I manage to CS him during a Nourish or Regrowth cast it's probably good game. The problem is applying enough pressure to force him to stop and cast one of those spells.
Anyway those are the main classes I play. Oh, and when it's time to CC the other team to get the kill and win the match? Don't forget about Cyclone....

OOM then by switching targets a lot. Eat innervate with purge/mass dispell/spell steal.

Even in my combo, ret pala/rogue we can't usually drop a resto druid, both nuking him to hell he will survive if he has decent gear.
Feral is pretty fking ridiculous as well, insane damage and instant cylclone, instant cast tank-form spamming 4k maul crits on plate.

Aff locks can do it. It takes A WHILE and quite a bit of timing, but we sure as sugar can do it. Shadow Embrace and drain mana is your friend.

I hate people who call a class overpowered just because they cant beat it.

You see, therein lies the problem. It's kinda hard to get a druid to run outta mana. Especially a druid who knows where his cyclone button is.

Fair enough, but it's pretty obvious that resto druids are indeed OP.

THIS. And eat his HoT's as well, that will OOM them even faster. Can't do that? mb arena is not your thing.

In a 1v1 fight (common occurrence in 2v2) I can think of 2 classes the flat out hard counter Resto Droods.
Priests > Druids
Death by attrition; Priests can dispel everything a druid has to throw at them, and win a mana war 1v1. Either Shadow or Disc can pull it off fairly easily.
Affliction Lock > Druid
Death by attrition, druid will run himself OOM and the lock will be at 100% HP and 100% Mana.
Destro Lock ~ Druid
Depends on health/mana. If the lock has low health or mana when the fight starts, the druid will win. If the Lock has a good amount of health/mana and knows how to manage CC, he will win.

Of course... just like Frost DK, Ret Paladin, Elem Shaman, Destro Warlocks, Frost Mage, Disc Priest, Prot Warrior, SV Hunter and Combat Rogues. All OP!
So yeah, lets nerf every class!

Resto Druids, while a pain in the neck, are nothing compared to how hard it is to kill a disc priest. At least a resto druid can't attack while healing. I pray the resto druid attempts to get a cast off on me so I can kill him in caster form.
Here is my method of dropping a resto druid, now it takes perfect timing and a bit of luck, but once I get them they have no hope. I use a feral druid btw.
Pounce/mangle/rake/maim/shred/shred/savage roar - Maim wears off. Now hear is where it gets tricky I need to have Predatory strikes proc or I am screwed. and have to start over. Instant cyclone - shadowmeld - cat - pounce again and shred/shred/ Ferocious Bite. And one dead Resto druid, Now during this process I am praying no one peals me off the druid otherwise it's screw it I am going to fight something I can kill (like a lock) ;p.

Wouldn't that be an example of being Overpowered?
No, It's called facing a counter class or a need to improve gameplay.
Something is OP when a whole community agree ( even the persons playing that spec/comp ) that something is too powerful.
Ex: I played a feral druid since season 2 and in season 5, we were OP.
