Method A: go farm dailies, quests, get whatever gear you can from them, then buy some craftables.
Method B: From heroic groups telling people your gear is bad, and that is why you're doing this. Regular ToC is on par with most 5-man heroics, is farmable, and gives an amazing range of gear.
Method C: become good good friends with a raid leader and get carried through some random raid.
Before you do any of these, however, make sure your spec and rotation are correct. this will be the most important factor in your getting gear. With a proper spec and rotation, you can easily attain heroic-worthy dps regardless of whatever gear you have. my lvl 78 warlock was doing 1.8k dps on the lvl 80 test dummy, and he was in all greens.

It's true that some of the guides are outdated, and the only specific pre-raid I noticed was for tanks. Some of that gear will cross over for kitty dps though, so read it.
Also, you're not creating a "knew" thread, ffs learn to edit before you post.
1. Purchase / make your own craftables. Alchemy and JC have good trinkets, leatherworking is good for feral gear and enchants, tailoring is more suitable for boomkin gear
in general.
2. Quest rewards. You can include the Crusader's Seal gear from the tourney dailies in this. Hit the Ring of Blood equivalent in Zul'Grub, I forget what it's called atm, for a weapon.
3. Normal dungeon runs. There's really no reason to have greens equipped when you get to 80 unless it's better than every other option. ToC5 in particular should be farmed as hard as possible, run it over and over and over and over.
4. ?
5. Profit!
Edit: ffffff, beaten :\

First of all, browsing for feral/boomkin gear is ridiculously easy with wowhead. Second, check this site out. Its pretty decent. I used it for my druid, hunter, and priest to gear up for heroics.

Edit: Its easy to see on this site what gear an instance has reg and heroic modes for each class. Also it shows quest rewards from zones.

Are these people that are like "durr how do i get gear noone wants me" unable to communicate ingame? Do they realise its a fricking multiplayer game? Christ, from 1 to 80, thats PLENTY of time to get a guild with at least 4 people at lvl 80. When someone dings 80 in our guild, he usually gets the Epic achievement 1 or 2 days later. We run him through heroics, get on alts and run him through raids with special loot rules that favor the player, and everything. Those might be some extreme conditions i know, but duhhh its not hard to get SOME guild and SOME friends.
